[Wild Hunt]

Currently, the Wild Hunt was truly going wild as some of the executives were forcibly called to be informed of the current situation.

Alchemist, with his hands tucked inside his pocket, was looking at all the cocktails around him with a certain longing in his gaze. A longing that was unequivocal.  He wished to drink but while Yui didn't forbid him to drink for stupid reasons like age and him being a minor, she expressly forbade drinking during work for all the members of the team.

This was one of the policies she would never budge on no matter what and he knew better than to push his luck when it came to her. He was aware of just how scary she could be after all.

"Hehe, beat it, squirt. Imagine being a drunkard as a teen."

He frowned as he looked at the man who was handing out the drink. Though he looked like a normal bartender, Alchemist knew that this was nothing but a disguise put on to mask the real person behind.

Chameleon.

One of the most elusive members of the Hounds under Yui, their boss. From what he knew, the bartender in question was in reality a woman but even that was nothing but partial knowledge he had obtained with great effort due to being the doctor of the team. And since he was the doctor, he needed real and accurate biological info of all the members, hence he was able to get the required info of the woman before her.

Truly, she was an elusive woman like no other.

"If your idea of team building is bullying then you are failing grandly."

"My, my~ Never thought little Alchemist would have a way with prose. Do you want to make a poem now?"

A middle finger was all the answer she received and she simply laughed in response to his childish response.

"One Mojito cocktail, please. Since you are disguised as a bartender, then do your job at the very least."

Mammoth, with his overpowering presence, advanced toward the bar and took a set next to Alchemist while ordering a drink for himself.

"Hello, my good sir! A mojito coming fast."

Chameleon sniggered while starting on the job she had taken on. All the disguises she made were done after extensive research and observation of her targets. Once she disguised herself as a cook in a 5-star restaurant for three months all to kill a target.

Like Spider, she was a pro in infiltration, spying, and assassination.

"Mammoth. How have you been?"

"Pretty good if I say so myself."

The two shared a fist bump before Mammoth sighed as he took the drink that was served to him by Chameleon.

"Though I think things are going to get really complicated soon."

"Oh? I heard that the boss' mom came to the bar not long ago. Is it related to that?"

"Nah. Something slightly more tricky and less dreadful has come our way that we need to handle."

Mammoth shuddered at the very thought of that scary woman, "If it was about that woman we would already be fleeing to the end of the world."

Mammoth laughed out loud but Alchemist could only chuckle bitterly at the contents of his words. He knew very well that this was no joke. Especially coming from the big guy.

Either way, it was very rare for all of them to be reunited in one place like this. It was truly a long time since they had all gathered.

"Where is Blade?"

"Currently, he should be in the UNA. Seems like he is searching for a new weapon and wants to seek the swordsmiths of the African Continent that specialize in a certain way of smithy."

"Well… Aren't they generally super closed off and never share their work if they don't find you worthy?"

After years of conflicts, the UNA had managed to become a force to be reckoned with be it in the normal world or the supernatural one. Thanks to their old history, they also had much of the long lost knowledge of the ancients that made people salivate for their work.

An example of their competence would be the spirit-infused weapons and armor or their Tribal tattoos and shamanic powers.

Going there was not impossible but to obtain their weapons was nearly impossible and improbable.

[Prince just obtained a spirit Armor.]

"Cough~! Cough~! What the hell?"

Alchemist swallowed his drink the wrong way with how shocked he was at the sudden news Hacker had just thrown at them.

"So, What is happening? Is the Prince ransacking some people again? Is it the reason we are here?"

Chameleon whistled a little but she seemed to have controlled her surprise properly unlike the poor Alchemist. After all, one spirit weapon, while rare, was not unheard of in the world.

[Prince erased the Branch of the Bratva that was dominant in Los Angeles.]

"Huh…?"

Crack~!

The glass she was wiping off broke into pieces due to the extensive force while Alchemist opened his eyes wide and Mammoth simply coughed even more than before.

"Gosh~!"

In the end, Chameleon started to laugh out loud with glee, "Seems like we took in a truly violent guy."

She licked her lips to hide the shock that was settled deep within her heart.

Boris was a Gold ranked hunter and not a nameless one either, He was a bonafide hunter who had proved his ability over the years on the battlefield and even fought his way through in many wars.

"So Boris is dead…"

Mammoth was no less shocked though he was hearing this news for the second time. While he was working in the army, he had face-to-face with Boris many times.

The two of them may hate each other, but Mammoth had a huge amount of respect for the deep loyalty of the man.

Finishing his Mojito in one swing and sighing at the lack of Alcohol in it, he looked up at the Camera before speaking.

"What does the boss think?"

He knew that the boss was currently discussing this situation with Shuri— Adam's aunt. Though she was just a normal human and knew nothing of the supernatural, she had an amazing great talent for business and law.

She was an ally worth protecting.

[Prepare for war. Adam managed to hide most if not all his traces but inevitably, they are going to try and bathe Los Angeles in blood. Furthermore, it isn't as if claiming that we are the ones who did it would be detrimental. We may lack in number compared to them but with Boris's death, we are completely superior when it comes to firepower alone.]

In fact, from what Hacker had seen, she was pretty sure that Adam could take down half of the Bravna alone without even a scratch on him.

He was truly powerful and a very dangerous individual. She was truly glad he was on their side.

[Currently, Spider is already moving to mow down the enemies. She will use the fact that no one knows about the death of Boris and the subsequent take down of the LA branch yet to plunder as many resources as possible. Meanwhile, Prince sent me the codes we might need. To infiltrate secret locations, bank accounts, and so on. Honestly, my only concern is those bastards have quite the material.]

"Such as?"

"Wait a minute!"

Alchemist stopped them and drank until his glass was empty and burped a little before patting his chest a little.

"..."

[...]

"Sigh. Yes, this hits the spot. Now you can continue. No way, I am spitting my drink. So, what kind of weapons are we talking about?"

[Dragon Lances.]

"Oh…"

Alchemist looked at his empty glass and nodded, "I really was right to anticipate a shocking response. I am a genius indeed!"

"Well. Enough of this charade. Where is the Prince now? Surely, we must see the man of honor today, right?"

[Well… I guess he must be quite occupied by now.]

.

.

.

Adam was indeed rather occupied. After Lucia told Marlene to leave, the two of them went to one of her hidden houses.

Lucia had been quite surprised by his ability to fly but this seemed to have increased her trust in his ability to protect them.

When they finally reached the safe house, she hesitated a little before looking at Adam,

"Sir, I might be repeating myself but the Pearl is nothing but a husk now. There is no power in there. Only the material and even then, I do think it has much use. From what we inspected, the material, while rare, is nothing unheard of on earth."

" –And yet, you were the one to first propose this gift."

"Yes. Because I believe there is value even beyond the power. I know many people who would pay billions to have it even if only for collection purposes. In fact, I already had plans to sell it once we found the perfect seller. The only thing stopping me was a desire to not disappoint my ancestors."

"Hum. No matter. I know why I want that Divine object. Do not worry, I will not change our deal and I will indeed protect you."

Adam followed her quietly into the house. He ignored all the decorations, only caring for the single goal he had come here for.

Whether this thing worked or not, he planned to give it to Makarov. After all, no matter how ordinary those materials were, they still housed divine power within them in ancient times. Surely they could help him with building his weapon.

But beyond that, there was something he wished to really try.

'Now that my soul is stronger… Perhaps it will work?'

This was something worth trying.
