Jiang Ming walked out from the wall and smiled embarrassingly.

"How did you notice my presence?" He asked, clearly confused about how he was caught.

"I'm pretty sure I concealed my aura perfectly."

Hong Ling chuckled softly at his confusion.

"Young Master, I'm your maid and if a maid can't even tell when their Young Master has arrived, then I'm truly a failure." She said calmly.

Chau Heung nodded her head in agreement as well. "Un, we women are more sensitive in these types of situations. Though we always keep silent about it since men always liked to act cool and everything."

"Mhmm, men and their pride. Honestly, it's a good thing that most women don't strive for that superficial pride. It's such a tedious and dumb thing to care about." Hong Ling sighed softly.

When Jiang Ming heard their words, he really wanted to dig a hole to crawl in. After all, their words were like arrows, piercing straight into his body since they were all facts.

<Shall I find a good burial site for Player Jiang Ming to rest in?>

Seeing the unexpected prompt, Jiang Ming almost vomited blood from anger. Now even the GLCS is active in teasing him to no end.

"A-Anyway, what were you two discussing about me?" Jiang Ming coughed, hoping to change the topic. During this small lesson, he had decided to throw away his pride and dignity.

The two women were right about one thing. Holding on to those superficial pride and dignity was a foolish thing to do.

From now on, he shall become the most shameless person ever and will do whatever he pleases, giving zero crap to public opinion. Of course, there's still a bottom line on what he would do since he still needed to live in this world.

"We were just talking about the Young Master's achievement ever since he was beaten to a pulp in the academy." Hong Ling kindly replied.

"Right now, almost every student in the academy was hoping to get beaten into a pulp to become an overnight genius." She added.

Jiang Ming twitched his mouth. 'Are they seriously trying to follow my previous fate?'

"Do they think being a genius is obtained by getting beaten up?" Jiang Ming asked in a dumbfounded tone.

"If they really think that way, then those cultivators who had experienced life-and-death situations would have become peerless cultivators already. Seriously, the brain cells of those students truly embarrassed me since I'm associated with them."

After saying that, Jiang Ming went upstairs to check on Chau Zhimen and Alchemist Ren's progress.

He feared that if the conversation was to continue, then they might ask him some sensitive questions such as how he was able to obtain such profound knowledge regarding alchemy.

Once the suspicions are raised, people would begin to doubt his origin or even his identity.

Perhaps, they might even suspect the current him was being possessed by a demonic being with knowledge of alchemy. It wasn't far-fetched to believe that since the Original Jiang Ming had never touched upon anything related to alchemy before.

'Sigh, how many times do I need to diss the original soul? If people start suspecting me because I'm way too awesome, then this is truly an injustice for me.' He cried inwardly.

Sometime later, he arrived at the refinement room whereas Chau Heung and Hong Ling were following behind him.

"How long has it been since I went out?" Jiang Ming turned around and asked Hong Ling.

Hong Ling raised her finger to calculate for a few seconds before answering, "Around 2-3 hours I supposed."

"Did anything happen during those 2-3 hours?"

"No, everything was peaceful and serene. There weren't many customers either today which is surprisingly rare considering how many people are injured daily and required pills."

Jiang Ming nodded his head.

'Seems like those clans are well-prepared for the ancient ruin already, unlike me, who had to prepare things last minute.' He thought.

"Are we going to wait here for them to come out?" Hong Ling suddenly asked. She had worked in the alchemist guild before, so she knew the refinement room could only be opened from the inside once there were occupants.

The same goes for Chau Heung. Both of them were confused why they came up here with zero ideas on when they would come out from the refinement room.

Meanwhile, Jiang Ming smirked slightly as he took a step forward.

And under the eyes of Chau Heung and Hong Ling, he infused a few of his spiritual qi at the mechanism's large door. After a few twists and turns, the large door suddenly trembled and began to creak open.

This action stunned Hong Ling and Chau Heung as their eyes almost popped out.

"H-How is this possible?"

"D-Did the refinement room malfunction?"

The two of them looked at each other and wondered if their eyes were playing tricks on them.

Alas, when the large door completely opened up and they witnessed Jiang Ming entering, they finally accepted that Jiang Ming somehow managed to find a loophole to open the door.

They swallowed a mouthful of saliva before following behind nervously, clearly amazed and frightened by his miraculous skills once again.

Jiang Ming didn't notice their admiration as his sight remained fixated on Chau Zhimen.

'This little brat… What a damn prodigy.' Jiang Ming laughed silently, gazing at the numerous pill bottles laid across him.

Just by the fragrance of those pill bottles, Jiang Ming could tell they were all 2nd-rank pills and not 1st-rank pills.

He had merely thought the best Chau Zhimen could refine was a 1st rank pill. Yet, not only did he surpass his expectation, but he had also gone above and beyond.

Added to the fact that Chau Zhimen had never successfully refined a pill before until he received a technique from Jiang Ming. Thus, his shocking progress caused Jiang Ming to be surprised.

'This little brat could possibly be the next alchemy god successor,' Jiang Ming concluded.
