Chapter 539: I’m the Lucky One
That was incredibly remarkable and rare!
Even Grandma Jian couldn’t help but praise Qin Chuan:
“Thank you Young Master Qin. My granddaughter is incredibly fortunate to have you as her tutor.”
“No, that’s not true. I’m the lucky one,” Qin Chuan replied seriously.
This sounded like a polite statement to the onlookers.
In fact, it seemed as though Young Master Qin was way too polite.
After all, Qin Chuan’s social status today was much higher than Jian Yiling’s.
Wen Ruo and her mother stood by silently. They did not dare to interrupt the conversation.
Wen Ruo did not stare at Qin Chuan directly. Rather, she attempted to treat him as a normal person.
After Qin Chuan left, Wen Ruo looked up again.
However, Wen Nuan did not think much of the situation. Instead, she asked Cai Qinyue and Wen Ruo whether or not they found their bracelet.
Upon being asked this, Wen Ruo quickly said that she was mistaken. It was likely that she left her bracelet somewhere else.
As Wen Nuan had been worrying about Grandma Jian and her daughter, she didn’t think much about the actions and intentions of Cai Qinyue and Wen Ruo.
And thus, Wen Nuan did not question their actions. Instead, she guided them to the elevator again.
On the way out, Cai Qinyue and Wen Ruo asked a few more questions regarding Qin Chuan.
As Wen Nuan did not know much about Qin Chuan, she did not have the answers to many of their questions.
Then, Wen Nuan said goodbye to her sister-in-law and niece.
After exiting the hospital, Cai Qinyue couldn’t help but comment on the situation: “Ahh, your cousin’s luck is incredibly good. Initially, I assumed that she was just the daughter of a wealthy family from a small city. And thus, I really did not expect her to be involved with the Qin family.”
Being connected with the Qin family was something that many people hoped to achieve.
The Qin family was one of the most powerful families in Beijing. Having connections with the Qin family meant that many things were much easier to accomplish in Beijing.
And remaining things could be accomplished by being associated with the Zhai family.
“Hmm, I don’t think it matters that much,” Wen Ruo said indifferently. “Qin Chuan isn’t the son of the first wife. He’s an illegitimate son. Furthermore, he grew up in a complicated environment as well. Therefore, his manners and education would not be up to par.”
“Yeah, you’re right. I guess only Master Sheng would be considered as the best. However, it’s a pity that not many people have seen him in person. Apparently, he’s equally matched with Qin Chuan. However, I don’t know how true that is.”
Then, Cai Qinyue remembered something else. She urged her daughter: “Now that Jian Yiling is in Beijing, out of courtesy, you should hang out with her occasionally. However, please do not follow her example.”
Jian Yiling was known to be ignorant and incompetent.
Apparently, two years ago, she played a video game incredibly well.
Although this was seen to be something remarkable by those in the gaming circle, in Cai Qinyue’s opinion, it was merely a waste of time.
“I won’t,” Wen Ruo replied. She didn’t like playing video games in the first place.
###
As tomorrow was Jian Yiling’s birthday, Zhai Yunsheng rushed to finish his tasks in advance. He intended to return to his apartment a bit earlier.
However, before he left his company, he received a report from his men.
“Master Sheng, the international organization that kidnaped Miss Yiling three years ago appeared in Beijing again.”
Upon hearing this, Zhai Yunsheng’s face darkened.
They still dared to come?
“Where are her bodyguards?” Zhai Yunsheng asked. Zhai Yunsheng had arranged for some people to follow Jian Yiling. However, he asked them to protect her subtly.
Zhai Yunsheng assumed that Jian Yiling would not like the feeling of having someone following her around at all times.
He didn’t like that feeling. And thus, why would he make Jian Yiling go through something that he didn’t like?
