Chapter 1250: An Yang’s Jealousy (2)
“He’s A Sheng’s friend,” Jian Yiling replied. In her mind, this was another convincing reason.
“This isn’t related to that though! Master Sheng indeed only likes you! But that doesn’t mean his friends are the same as him! Furthermore, just because a man treats his friends well, that doesn’t necessarily mean he will treat his partner or girlfriend well! Han Mengyu is a playboy! Scandals about him never stop! You can’t even count the number of partners he’s been with on your fingers!”
An Yang was incredibly anxious. He acted like an ant scampering across a hot pot.
“Han Mengyu’s not bad,” Jian Yiling defended.
Despite An Yang’s attempts at explaining, Jian Yiling still appeared to be oblivious to what was happening.
Upon realizing this, An Yang had no choice but to give up explaining. Instead, he begged Jian Yiling: “Boss, let’s discuss the topic of whether Han Mengyu is a good person later. Right now, I just want to beg you to do one thing. Could you please stop Han Mengyu from being around Jiaojiao?”
“Why are you so concerned about Jiaojiao?” Jian Yiling asked instead of answering An Yang’s pleas.
“I ...” An Yang stuttered. He was speechless.
His hands scratched through his hair haphazardly.
Then, he sat down on the sofa opposite Jian Yiling.
The expression on his face appeared to be in pain and torment.
“Boss, you weren’t there at that time. And thus, you don’t know what happened between us,” An Yang started slowly. This time around, he decided to tell Jian Yiling everything. He would no longer avoid this topic of conversation. “My mother forced me to break up with Jiaojiao. She played disgusting tricks. I… I couldn’t protect Jiaojiao… And there was no way for me to disown my mother. Other than choosing to escape from reality, there was nothing that I could do.”
As he said this, An Yang buried his face between his hands.
In the past, these words had been hidden deep inside of his heart.
If it weren’t for the fact that he was speaking to Jian Yiling today, he wouldn’t have said these heartfelt words at all.
“I tried to convince my mother but it was no use. The more I resisted, the more she felt that I was disobeying her. In fact, later on, she went so far as to interfere with the lives of Jiaojiao’s parents. After that, Jiaojiao broke up with me. In my mind, maybe once she left me, she could live a better life.”
“Do you still like Jiaojiao?” Jian Yiling asked.
Upon being asked this question, An Yang froze for a moment before he gazed into Jian Yiling’s bright and clear eyes. Then, after a moment of pause, An Yang nodded.
As there was no one else was around, An Yang didn’t want to hide his feelings anymore.
As he was speaking with Jian Yiling, there was no reason to lie.
“I still can’t get over her…”
This was the real reason why he hated seeing Han Mengyu get close to Jiaojiao.
After An Yang finished speaking, he suddenly heard a loud noise from inside the bedroom.
An Yang jerked his head up and his eyes widened.
Then he saw Hu Jiaojiao walk out with an embarrassed expression on her face.
Why was she here?
Shouldn’t she be with Han Mengyu?
In reality, Hu Jiaojiao was indeed picked up by Han Mengyu. However, what An Yang didn’t know was that Han Mengyu brought Hu Jiaojiao over to keep Jian Yiling company.
Naturally, one of the drivers could have done this as well. However, Zhai Yunsheng arranged for Han Mengyu to go.
Furthermore, he scheduled the pickup in that exact time frame.
He asked Han Mengyu to contact Hu Jiaojiao to come downstairs when An Yang passed by the girls’ dormitory.
And Zhai Yunsheng knew all of this because he was the one who asked the university to contact An Yang in the first place.
An Yang’s eyes met Hu Jiaojiao’s.
For a moment, their hearts were flooded with complicated emotions.
However soon after, they both looked away again.
So what if she knew that An Yang still liked her? The problem between them would still exist. They still couldn’t be together.
