“You guys ever get the urge to roll around in the mud and stuff?”
Abaddon and the other wives glanced at Bekka with helpless expressions.
Sera patted her on the stomach.
“My love… why would we ever want to do that?”
“It just, I dunno… it seems like a super fun thing to do.”
“We have enough problems with you leaving crumbs in our bed; we’d prefer it if you did not start adding dirt and earthworms to the list.”
“For your information, I don’t even eat in our bed anymore.”
“We know you finally started putting towels underneath yourself. We just don’t say anything about it because we’re proud you started trying to be responsible.”
Bekka rolled onto her stomach with her face away from the rest of her lovers.
“…Fuck you guys.”
Her partners would have laughed if they didn’t believe it’d upset her further.
Abaddon glanced beside himself at Tatiana’s resting form.
He gently took her under one arm and placed his forehead against hers.
“Are you perhaps finally acknowledging the ingenious of my plan?” She gloated.
Abaddon looked around. He found it hard not to applaud her wife’s creativity.
Tatiana had regained enough control over her powers that she was able to make use of the world’s natural inhabitants.
Unnamed eldritch horrors were effectively no different from single-celled amoeba. Controlling them didn’t take much, since they don’t have much drive other than causing chaos, and are weak-willed.
And Tatiana had summoned a whole stampede of the creatures to act as her family’s freight cars.
They numbered well within the hundreds. Acting as their guardians, and if need be, meat shields.
Riding on these things meant that they could keep moving and meditate while they did so. Hopefully, giving them the necessary edge the next time they fought against another named horror.
“Any chance these things will know where to find the Twin Blasphemies?”
Erica’s question was the one they had all been wondering about, and everyone looked towards Tatiana for the answers.
She patted their current mount on the head like a warm mother.
“Combing through their memories… I think that’ll be a bit out of my expertise for right now… All that we can do is search, I suppose.”
Needless to say, no one really liked that answer.
“The realm is endless, that could take forever…”
Lisa wanted to cry. It was everything she could do not to think of the faces of her small children.
How much time was she going to lose here? What was going to happen to her kids?
What if they forgot her face?
Just thinking about it was almost enough to break her.
“Well, there is one way we could do things…”
Everyone’s eyes drifted towards Lailah, who was rubbing the back of her head anxiously.
“We could split into groups. Each of us picks a direction and then we’ll be able to cover more ground.”
There was an immediate outcry.
“Lailah, I understand why you would suggest that, but it’s too risky. We could lose each other again, and there’s no telling how long it would take us to get back together.” Seras reasoned.
Lailah started to speak when someone else beat her to it.
“We’ll get back together.” Eris said firmly. “I’m sure of it.”
“You can’t guarantee that.” Seras shook her head.
“But I can.”
Eris closed the distance between herself and Seras. She took her hand in her own and brought it towards her chest.
“If you love me as I love you, then I promise you that nothing will ever keep us apart. If you call for me, then I will always find you…”
Eris turned her gaze towards the rest of her family and held her hand out for them.
“I will find all of you. We’re forever entwined, remember?” She smiled.
One by one, the group started to come together. They wrapped their arms around each other and held their bodies firmly.
They knew Lailah was right. Splitting up was the smartest option here.
Abaddon could separate himself to further improve their searching odds, but it would still make more sense if they were to travel in separate groups.
But that didn’t mean they liked it. Everyone’s anxiety was as high as a kite.
Abaddon felt a gaze on his body.
He looked up and found Sif staring at him with a dreadfully somber aura.
“…I’m going to be fine, love. This isn’t like the movies, splitting up doesn’t mean certain death.”
His words brought her little comfort.
*Sniff* “But you know… in the movies, the black guy always dies first.”
Izanami nodded while wiping a tear from her eye.
“It happens twice as quickly when he’s funny…”
“…”
Abaddon had an unamused expression in his eye.
“You’re overexaggerating things. Besides, it’s definitely the hot blonde who goes first. Doesn’t that mean you have more to worry about than me?”
“No, of course not. I’m not about to have sex, nor did I just get done having it.”
“You are naked though, baby..” Audrina reminded.
Sif looked down at her figure as if this was all news to her.
The realization of her undressed state hit her like a ton of bricks.
“…Shit.”
There was silence for a long time after that. It was as if their words had been caught in the back of their throat.
And then… someone snickered.
No one knew who it was, but given their difficulty with serious situations, it was probably Valerie or Bekka.
But their low chuckling sent forth a cascade of laughter from the entire group. All of them laughing all over each other at once.
It was a comforting feeling. It defined how they lived their relationship.
Even in the midst of an unfriendly realm, surrounded by nothing that they knew or recognized, nothing could steal the joy that they each brought each other.
Just the same, nothing could truly separate them. They would always be together.
And that was all that they needed.
They took their time breaking off into pairs.
Erica and Tatiana.
Audrina and Lisa.
Valerie and Bekka.
Lailah and Eris.
Seras and Sif.
Finally, there was one three-man group consisting of Lillian, Izanami, and Abaddon.
Once they were separated, they each chose one of the unnamed horrors that Tatiana had summoned and stepped onto their backs.
They turned their gazes onto each other one final time as they waved goodbye.
Some were a bit misty-eyed. But for the most part, everyone was smiling with an air of optimism about them.
As they got further and further away from each other, it was difficult to make out their forms.
However, Bekka would at least ensure that they could still hear her.
She cupped her hands to her mouth like a megaphone and yelled at the top of her lungs.
“I’M GOING TO FUCK ALL OF YOU SO GOOD WHEN WE GET HOME!”
–
“So what’s it going to be, darlings? The princess, or the peni-“
“This goes beyond extortion, Priscilla..!”
Mateo hissed at the queen venemously, but she remained completely undisturbed by his agitation.
Rather, she took pleasure in it. Giggling up a fit as she floated around the group while waving a baggie of cocaine.
“There’s no need to be like this, Vampy-Darling. I just want to have a bit of fun.”
Priscilla was like a ghost.
She phased in and out of their vision while being visibly less clothed every time.
She wrapped her arms around Mateo’s shoulders while making certain he could feel her breasts pushing into his back.
In a twisted version of ‘play’, she brought her lips closer to Mateo’s ear and even dared to bite him.
“Since you clearly want this information so badly, then shouldn’t I also get something that I want…? You’ve been avoiding me for some time now, and it’s really hurt my feelings. If I still can’t have you, then shouldn’t I get a new friend to drown my sorrows with..?”
Mateo’s complexion was becoming a noticeable grey color, and his claws became embedded in the flesh of his palms.
He spoke through gnashed teeth that were too big for his mouth.
“Malenia and Hera will hound you to the ends of the earth for this…! If I do not tear you apart first!”
“It’s a good thing I don’t really plan on leaving anytime soon then, isn’t it..? And I assume you know that you’ll find it quite difficult to harm me inside of my own realm.”
Mateo and Nubia blinked and suddenly they were surrounded by twenty different Priscillas.
They blinked again, and there were only three.
Nubia’s eyes were not fooled. She could see that none of these Priscillas were real.
She hadn’t been here this whole time.
Eventually, Courtney became frustrated. “L-Look, I’ll just do the-“
Nubia covered her sister’s mouth with her hand.
“Hush your mouth. You have no idea what you’re saying.”
Courtney fought to uncover her mouth. “I can do it if it gets Thea back! It’s just a little coke!”
Adeline winced. Courtney was too upset to realize why.
But she would soon curse herself for her folly.
“Oh…? The princess of the abyss is missing..?”
Priscilla had a look of immense intrigue on her face.
That look of intrigue soon turned into a wide and alluring smirk.
“Oh, I’m sorry, handsome, but I’m afraid that the price of my assistance has just shot way up.”
Adeline felt her blood beginning to boil.
“Choose your next words… very carefully. You can be safe in your realm all that you like. But that requires your realm to remain standing through the night.”
The grass under Sabine’s feet started to grow uncontrollably.
“And I think you’re forgetting that while you are safe from any harm here, your children don’t have your same protections.”
Finally, Priscilla was no longer smiling. And that brought Mateo great joy.
“Enough of this.”
Nubia stepped forward and pulled Priscilla off of Mateo.
“My sister’s not doing coke with you, and my godfather isn’t having sex with you.”
“Boo…” The fairy pouted.
“But there is something else I can do for you that’s worth more than a little coke and some sweat.”
Priscilla was immediately intrigued.
“Well, don’t stand there in suspense, Miss Princess. Let’s hear this offer of yours.”
