Chapter 328: Richie

Chapter 328: Richie

Charles smiled lightly and continued to eat.

??

"You have some plan, right?" Destiny Lady stared at him for a moment and soon sighed.

Meanwhile, the customers soon woke up from their shock and started leaving the Inn one by one.

Although a few other customers remained in the hall, none dared to look at their directions.

On the other hand, Charles and Destiny Lady stayed in the hall for a few more minutes and then stood up from their seats.

They then moved towards the nearby washbasin, washed their hands, and moved towards the nearby spiral staircase.

Within a few seconds, they reached the second floor and went to their rooms to take for a whole day.

They then stayed in the Inn's reception hall till noon and gathered information about the Patrol Guard of Runaway Street and other influential figures.

It was around 2 P.M.

Charles and Destiny Lady finally walked out of the Inn and moved towards the registration building.

Like before, Beckett was seated at the reception counter and seemed to be doing the registration job.

Upon sensing their presence, he hurriedly stood up from his seat, walked out of the reception counter, and passed two crystalline cards with a smile on his face.

Although he showed a smiling face, Destiny Lady knew that this youngster was up to something.

In truth, she had long expected his reaction as she read his fate strings and felt troubled.

'This guy will definitely cause a problem within the next few days.' She was so sure of it!

While she was in muse, Beckett raised his hand, awkwardly scratched his head, and spoke.

"Sorry for my earlier rude actions, Mr. Charles."

Upon seeing his action, the corner of Destiny Lady's lips twitched.

Meanwhile, Charles took those two identity cards from his hand and nodded.

Although he didn't receive any forewarning, he had long prepared for any unexpected situation.

After getting the identity cards, both of them turned around, walked out of the registration building, and soon returned to the Sleeping Bee Inn.

The days passed as they stayed in the Inn and gathered information about the pirates and official naval forces.

On the fifth day,

It was around midnight.

Charles suddenly woke up from his sleep as he sensed an uneasy feeling and sat up.

Then, he stepped out of bed, moved towards the wooden window, opened it, and looked outside.

At that moment, clip-clop sound continued to echo in the dark rainy night.

Thunders and lightning also flashed from time to time and illuminated the street.

But the clip-clop sound still reached all the residences' ears.

It was as if some mystical power enchanted that sound!

No, that sound became louder and louder!

Not only that, but a strange, chilling wind came from the Runaway Street junction and directly entered his room.

Simultaneously, the nearby house windows and Bars' and Inns' entrance doors started to clatter loudly.

Meanwhile, a black destrier picked the way carefully through the dirt path and strolled on the street road like a nightmare horse.

At that moment, a tall man in his late thirties mounted on the warhorse and looked at the surrounding buildings. He was muscular than an ordinary guard and looked somewhat bulkier.

From time to time, sharp winds came out of his body and flew in all directions, causing the doors and windows to move violently!

Simultaneously, flashes of lightning appeared in the cloudy sky and lightened the whole city for a blink before disappearing.

But that was more than enough for anyone to see the clear picture of the tall man.

That man had almond green eyes, low arch eyebrows, celestial nose, russet brown skin, and wavy black hair.

He wore a formal black dress, leather shoes, and a bowler cap and held a black umbrella in his right hand.

With a single look, Charles linked the description of this man with the gathered knowledge and soon concluded.

'He must be that Patrol Guard Richie.' He was 90% sure of it.

As the destrier strolled on the street road, another human covering himself in a black raincoat came from the opposite path and soon stopped in the middle of the street road.

Upon noticing the human presence, the tall man picked the ropes tied to the destrier's head and pulled it.

The next instant, a loud neigh sound echoed in the dark street.

Simultaneously, the other human removed the hood of his raincoat and revealed his appearance to the tall man.

He was a blonde-haired youngster and looked much shorter than an average human.

"Beckett…" A frown appeared on Charles's face.

While Charles was observing them, the tall man dismounted from the horse, arrived next to Beckett, gave him the umbrella, and asked something.

On the other hand, Beckett muttered something to Richie in a low voice and soon pointed his finger at the Sleeping Bee Inn where Charles and Destiny Lady were staying.

Then, Richie tied the destrier to the nearby lamp post and started walking towards the Inn.

Within a minute, he walked into the Inn and soon dragged a deep-blue-haired man from inside.

He was none other than the Inn Owner, Rocco!

"I heard that you made complain about me, Rocco. Is it true?" Richie's tone appeared icy and eerie.

Meanwhile, Rocco shivered all over as he tried his best to get away from Richie's grip, but his attempt went futile!

Without giving Rocco any time to breathe, Richie punched him in the stomach and tossed him on the muddy road.

"P-Please! I-I w-won't do it again, My Lord." Rocco hurriedly crawled towards Richie's legs and cried loudly.

"It's too late, Rocco. You already caused too much nuisance." This time, Beckett said as he walked across the street road and arrived in front of Rocco.

Drops of water fell at the ends of the umbrella and splashed on Rocco's face.

He then squatted down, took out a dark scroll from his space ring, showed it to Rocco, and asked.

"Is this the complain letter you gave it to Sheriff earlier?" His voice contained a trace of mockery.

On the other hand, Rocco's eyes widened in shock and disbelief.

At that moment, Richie raised his right leg, placed it on his chest, and pressed it.

"You think I'm doing this job without any backing? Fool, that sheriff is the one who receives the most shares from the smuggling jobs." He said in a cold tone.

Meanwhile, Rocco became horrified.

He continued to beg for mercy, but Richie didn't listen to his words and directly moved his leg towards the neck area.

Even though tens of Rank-3 and Rank-4 Mystics watched this scene from different houses and Inns, none dared to walk out and help him!

On the other hand, Richie exerted the full strength of the Extraordinary Level body and directly broke his neck.

No, Rocco's head got ripped from the body!

Then, the headless body continued to twitch for a few more seconds and went motionless.
