Everyone looked with curiosity at the reward that fell out of the Treasure Box. Usually, the player received one item as a reward, but sometimes there were exceptions because some of the equipment needed something else.

"Well... Looks like I got excited too soon..." Zayne muttered staring at the item he got from the Treasure Box, "Damn, this always happens, if you think luck is on your side, it immediately turns away from you."

Zayne didn't know what item he was expecting to see, but certainly not a massive crystal bow with ten huge arrows that looked like real spears.

[Huge Crystal Bow (Rare)

Physical Damage: 50

Magical Damage: 10

A heavy bow, suitable only for a skilled archer. Takes time and energy to make a single shot, but a fully tensioned bowstring with a long arrow can easily kill even a massive beast.

Required level: 5]

'Ten arrows and a bow... Anything would do for me, sword, axe, hammer... even simple boots would be better than this!' Zayne inwardly complained, not understanding how exactly a bow could have dropped out of his first Treasure Box.

"What an unusual bow." Roland said, rubbing his chin as he approached Zayne.

"I don't care, a bow is definitely not a weapon I'm going to use." Zayne shrugged with displeasure, "What am I supposed to do with it?"

"Hah, there are quite a few options, most of the time the Treasure Box items are just for sale." Roland stared at Zayne.

"Hmm... That's not a bad idea. How much can I get if I sell this bow?" Zayne asked as he tilted his head thoughtfully.

Roland awkwardly scratched the back of his head, "I'm not very good at it, but I think around 50 gold coins. It all depends on the merchant or blacksmith you go to, though."

'Fifty gold coins...? Pfff, that's not much at all, is it? Although, considering it's only the beginning of the game, it's not surprising that such cheap items come across.' Zayne inwardly snorted as he shook his head. He hadn't played other games and understood too little about the economics of this world, so he didn't give it much thought, also Zayne didn't know how much, 50 gold coins could be exchanged for.

At the same moment, Zayne felt Elin's gaze on him again. She looked enviously at the bow, and occasionally at Zayne.

"Ogh... I guess I've made up my mind." Zayne muttered with a slight smile before he headed forward, not picking up the bow from the ground.

He walked over to Elin, stood in front of her, and with a calm gaze looked at her.

"What...? Is there something you want from me?" Elin frowned, expecting Zayne to poke fun at her.

"Take it." Zayne said coldly, pointing at the bow with his thumb.

Elin's eyes went wide as she blinked rapidly as if trying to see if she thought she heard something.

"Are you serious? I don't have the money to pay you for it..." Elin muttered sadly since she knew that good things had to be paid for.

'She doesn't have fifty gold coins?' Zayne tilted his head in confusion, 'Well, I wasn't going to make her pay for it anyway, but it looks like knights don't get paid much. I'll have to turn it down if someone offers me a job like that.'I think you should take a look at ραΠdαsnovel.cοm

"It doesn't matter." Zayne shrugged, "If I wanted the money, I would take the bow for myself. However, I have one condition."

With those words, Zayne leaned toward Elin as their foreheads practically collided and their eyes looked directly at each other.

'A condition...? What, is he really going to ask me for that?!' Elin inwardly exclaimed as her cheeks began to blush rapidly, 'What should I do? Should I say yes? No! What am I even thinking about?!

Zayne slowly opened his mouth and said, "Shoot."

Crackle. Crackle. Crackle.

Elin's eyes went wide as the multitude of fantasies that appeared in her head began to shatter into tiny shards upon meeting reality.

"What did you say...?" Elin muttered in disbelief.

"Agh, I'm saying you can have the bow, but I want you to use it. I mean, you haven't shot anyone since we went down to the caves. Damn, you're the only archer in our squad and there are plenty of knights in armor in front of you that are ready to defend you. These are ideal conditions for you, but you just don't take advantage of it." Zayne waved his hand.

Elin's gaze went blank for a moment, then she frowned, clenched her hands into fists, and headed for her bow, staring at the floor as if offended.

"Thank you..." Elin said with difficulty, approaching the bow.

"Hahahahahaha, Zayne I don't know if you did that on purpose, but I haven't seen Elin's face like that in a long time!" Roland laughed as he could hardly contain himself from doing it even louder, "Agh, I haven't laughed so hard in so long... Damn, that was good."

Tap.

Walking next to Roland, Elin elbowed him in the stomach with a seriously frowning look.

"Ouch, that was pretty hard." Roland grabbed his stomach as a slight smile appeared on his face, "That's the bow from the Treasure Box, so it must be good, right? Elin, this is your chance, you should take it."

"Yeah... I understand that, it's just not what I expected from this mission at all... It's like there's no room left for me." Elin muttered as she grimaced.

Roland shook his head, walked over to her, and put a hand on her shoulder, "I understand you. When I was a common soldier I dreamed of becoming a knight, but now I have surpassed my dream and have completely different goals. The same will happen to you, I'm sure of it. Are you saying there's no room left for you? What nonsense, this bow will allow you to surpass all of us!"

ραndαsnοvεl.cοm Elin smiled weakly as well as the knights. Their eyes shone and their fighting spirit increased.

"Hah, Roland is definitely one of the best commanders that I have ever met." Harald grinned, "Not only is he strong, but his heart is just as wide. He knows how to light a fire in the hearts of others."

Zayne looked at Roland with a blank stare, 'Well, perhaps I wouldn't mind working in a squad with a man like Roland, too bad his motivation doesn't affect me at all.'

Zayne enjoyed the game, but he didn't forget for a moment his main purpose and why he came here. He had to earn money to save Mia, so that was his main motivation.

The whole time Aron was staring at Zayne as if trying to see through him. His gaze was cold and deep.

'Roland's words motivate those who strive to become the best, but right now Zayne is the best, so it doesn't work for him, though he shouldn't have to.' Aron muttered inwardly, 'However, he seems to need support more than any of us. His gaze is like the beginning of an abyss... that makes him much different from other Travelers that seemed only capable of having fun. He came to this world with a purpose.'
