Global Mobilization—This term aptly described the current state of affairs across Earth.
At this moment, all the Human Nations, large and small alike, were like military factories, where ordinary Humans were bustling around, working tirelessly.
As for Superhumans, who far surpassed ordinary Humans, were notably not indulging in pleasure either. They, picking their weapons and donning their armors, practiced their arts in various squares and fields.
Soldiers, since the Era of the Transcendence, had been a rarely mentioned profession. Yet, under the directives of various countries, it had risen once more. The number of soldiers were growing at a terrifying pace.
100,000…
1 million…
10 million…
In just a few months, the Human Army had grown significantly.
Moreover, this was truly an extraordinary army, with the weakest being at least a Tier-1 Superhuman.
While the entire Human Race was rapidly gearing for war, the other Mutant Beast Forces were not idle either.Led by major Forbidden Zones, they were also establishing their own legions.
Among them, Misty Mountains was the most formidable. Its Natural Disaster Legions were particularly renowned.
A few months ago, it continuously suppressed continents such as Australia and Africa. And its Legion Commanders jointly acted to subdue the Vatican. Though they had made appearances for a fleeting moment, the Natural Disaster-Class Commanders of Misty Mountains had gained a fearsome reputation.
Each and every single of them was unrivaled.
The Storm King, the Evil Tiger, as someone bearing ‘storm’ in his title, could create massive storms with a mere flap of his wings, leveling entire cities.
The embodiment of strength, Golden Ant, known for ‘strength,’ could shatter the Earth and collapse mountains with a single punch. There were even rumors that he could even lift multiple mountains with one hand.
And then there were also Natural Disaster-Class Mutant Beasts like Little Tenth and Sarcosuchus, each bearing their own fierce and legendary titles.
This was the true depth of Misty Mountains’ power.
…
Under the influence of Misty Mountains, other Forces on Earth have also begun to follow suit.
For Humans, it was nothing new. Every Human Nation had started forming mysterious units long ago.
And for the Mutant Beasts, it was quite intriguing, especially the Forbidden Zones.
The Tianshan Mountains—a formidable Forbidden Zone on the Asian Continent—had emerged onto the world stage under the leadership of a Natural Disaster-Class Mutant Seahorse and a mysterious Spirit Flower. Not long ago, this Mutant Seahorse personally emerged and declared itself king, bringing the Tianshan Region under its control.
Whereas the Bermuda Triangle—another renowned and terrifying Forbidden Zone—had made a fleeting appearance, but it shook the entire world. Rumor had it that three Natural Disaster-Class Powerhouses emerged from this Forbidden Zone, causing disturbances across many seas and shaking the Sea Clans.
However, the Sea Clans happened to be currently embroiled in internal conflicts and were too preoccupied to deal with these deep-sea Forbidden Zones.
Nevertheless, Humans, relying on sophisticated instruments, managed to capture the deep-sea shadows in the Bermuda Triangle.
The images painted a legion, with tens of thousands of creatures resembling Sharks drifting near the Bermuda Triangle.
At the center, several indescribable but extremely terrifying marine creatures could be seen lying in wait.
And this was what Forbidden Zones were like. Whether on land or in the deep sea, they refused to remain silent and had finally made their presence known.
However, before the prestige of these Forbidden Zones could spread, a piece of news struck like thunder in their minds: The discovery of another world.
“Another world has been discovered?” In the depths of Tianshan Mountains, a strange creature resembling a Seahorse but pink in colour, was floating calmly on the surface of the Heaven Lake.
Beside him was a gorgeous Snow Lotus, her petals swaying as if preparing to bloom.
“Yes, the news of another world has been confirmed multiple times. It seems other planets have indeed developed civilizations…”
“This is both good and bad news.” The Seahorse-like creature could not help but heave a sigh, a complex look appearing on his face.
“What do you mean?” Amidst the swaying white petals, a question rang in the Seahorse’s ear.
“If the enemy is stronger and we are weaker, we’ll be facing endless invasions. And if we are stronger and the enemy is weaker, with our current strength, we won’t be able to get a piece of the pie.”
“Huh…” The Snow Lotus looked puzzled. “Would the discovery of another world always lead to a conflict?”
“Of course.” Smiling, the Seahorse-like creature lifted his claw-like arm and gently stroked the petals of the Snow Lotus.
“You must understand, Earth, despite its vastness, has limited resources. It is difficult to satisfy all our needs… Therefore, plundering resources from other places, such as another planet, is inevitable… and if we raid them, won’t other worlds resist?”
Hearing this, the Snow Lotus nodded, seeming to understand, yet not quite.
After a moment, she asks with some suspicion, “Is there really no possibility of peaceful coexistence with the other world?”
“…Probably not.” After much contemplation, the Seahorse-like creature responds softly.
Everyone wished to become stronger. Everyone wanted to prove their Dao and become Eternal. Thus, plundering of resources was inevitable, for all the resources belonged to someone, and resources were not going to fall from the sky, would they?
More importantly, planets like Earth could only support one or two Hegemons, Tier-7, Transcendents at most.
Resources were limited, but living beings were infinite. As such, conflict was predestined.
Sighing deeply, the Seahorse-like creature lamented, “It seems I need to visit Misty Mountains.”
“Um… Why? Haven’t you always kept your distance from Misty Mountains?” Snow Lotus inquired with some confusion.
“You don’t understand.” Shaking his head, the Seahorse-like creature smiled wryly. “Currently, in this world, there are only two powers capable of mobilizing an army against the other world. One is Misty Mountains. Given the enigmatic strength of the Tree Monster, they should have long been aware of the other world’s existence and might already be secretly engaging with it. The second power is the Human Race, which is highly unified, and their technology should be the key to war… if we want to join the war, we must choose between these two powers…” The Seahorse-like creature explained patiently, a contemplative look on his face.
With his insight, he could naturally tell that Misty Mountains and the Human Race have some sort of connection with the other world.
He reckoned that these two top-tier powers might even be cooperating, which begs the question who the real leader was.
