Chapter 2834: Help
Bladedance looked at not just the invisible wall, but also the shimmering sky. She vaguely remembered the shimmering sky from back when she had first arrived in Hell and had gained some clarity from time to time.
But now, with her Creation back, she could look at it and think of everything she knew about Hell.
“A layer of spatial distortion that filters all outgoing light from this realm,” she said with a soft pause. “No one outside of Hell can really see what Hell looks like because of it.”
Alex got up slowly, listening to her words. He had known everything she said, except that it filtered the images that went outward. That was probably the reason why people didn’t know much about Hell at all.
’They should’ve at least known it was Hell, right?’ he thought.
Bladedance stared at the sky for a while, a deep frown forming on her face. She looked down toward Alex.
“How long have you been here?” she asked.
“In Hell? Close to a century,” Alex answered.
“That’s short,” she said. “And what are you doing here? Why were you with me?”
“I… was trying to save you,” Alex said.
“Save me?” the woman asked. “Why?”
“Because they wanted to kill you,” Alex said with a straight face. “They would’ve likely succeeded too.”
Bladedance snorted. “Don’t think I owe you anything for that. All you did was return my sword to me,” she said.
“I didn’t help with the expectation of gaining anything back,” Alex said. “At least, not right away.”
Bladedance turned, her eyes growing cold. “What were you expecting to gain later?” she asked.
“Help,” Alex said. “I was hoping you would help me leave this world, Senior.”
“Leave this world?” Bladedance asked with a chuckle. “There’s no leaving this world. I’m stuck here just as you are. No one is going anywhere.”
“No, we can leave, Senior,” Alex said. “The Hell Emperor left once already. He blew a hole in the sky and flew out. I hope you can help me do the same so we can leave as well.”
“You know how the Hell Emperor left?” she asked.
Alex nodded. “His old sect is down here. They had the information,” he said. “You can do the same, right?”
Bladedance stared at Alex for a while, seeing his hopeful eyes. She sadly had to shatter those hopes.
“It’s impossible. I do not have the power to do what the Hell Emperor had done back then. Not even a tenth of it,” she said.
Alex was confused. “Godslayer said that you are a Celestial, Senior. Are you not?”
“I am, and I am not,” Bladedance said. “It has been so long since I’ve properly cultivated that my Dantian and Meridians have no doubt regressed. Not to mention the most obvious fact that I have no Qi. The most I have is a weakened spirit after an eon of being without my Creation. I am a Celestial, but only in name. My current strength does not reflect that at all.”
Alex’s face fell. “This can’t be…” he said softly. He had worked so hard. This couldn’t be the end to all of it.
“I have spirit stones. Maybe you have some too. We can use that.”
“My Soul Space is empty,” Bladedance said. “They must’ve taken out all of my items before throwing me in Hell. They couldn’t allow me a way back, after all.”
“Then I still have spirit stones,” Alex said. “We can use that.”
Bladedance’s eyes narrowed. “Do you have Celestial spirit stones?”
“No, but I have Divine spirit stones. We can compress them to form a Celestial spirit stone.”
“Do you have the required mental fortitude to turn Divine stones into Celestial stones? Because as I just said, I don’t.”
Alex stared at her in a daze. “Senior, do you not want to leave?”
“Of course I want to leave,” she said with a frown. “But there is no way. I have no Qi, no stones. Nothing. You may have Divine stones, but even if we could use them, you would need thousands to make up a single Celestial stone. Do you have them?”
Alex shook his head. He had a couple hundred from the tournament, and a couple hundred from before that. He only had a thousand at best, and not thousands. This situation was a mess.
Bladedance’s eyes moved to the side. She stared for a brief moment before something became visible in the sky.
A moment later, Wu Shaozhen dropped from the sky, landing at the base of the red dune.
He looked at Death and her stare right back at him, her eyes full of clarity.
“You… you are healed,” the old man said with a look of awe. He was slightly out of breath, hurrying here from the sect as fast as he could. He had wanted to come in time, but it seemed he wasn’t needed.
“Senior,” Bladedance said with a small bow. “I’m glad to see you are doing well. Thank you for taking care of me during a time when I wasn’t myself.”
The old man smiled and sighed in relief. “I only did what I should have,” he said. “That young man is the one you should really be thanking. He’s been following you for months, saying he will find a way to heal you no matter what. I cannot lie that I thought it was impossible, but I am pleasantly surprised.”
Bladedance turned her eyes toward Alex.
“I see. You must’ve really been looking forward to leaving Hell with my help. Knowledge of the Hell Emperor’s escape gave you hope.”
“Sadly, it wasn’t his cultivation that allowed the Hell Emperor to leave this place,” Bladedance said, staring up at the Prison Wall. “His cultivation base merely allowed him to reach a stage where he could make full use of his Axiom.”
“To settle my own Axiom on this world’s Intent would require an amount of Intent that I sadly cannot produce in my weakened state.”
