However, this wasn’t quite like that either, as Yuki’s eyes widened, looking into the skies, she quickly recognized what these beings were and where they were coming from…

“I know who they are… they’re Cursed Specters, Yokai in their most primal, ancient forms,” she said. “Born from the… from them… the Dark… Hell, something. I… Ugh…”

“Yuki?” Drake looked back at her, as Yuki felt a sudden pain in her head, grabbing it tightly while gritting her teeth.

“Are you okay?” Benladann asked her.

“I…!” Yuki’s eyes couldn’t stop swirling around, as she kept looking at the dark skies, seeing two empty, crimson eyes looking back at her, not from the conjurer behind this, but from something else.

Something much more ancient, primordial even, and connected to her very soul… something she never expected to ever get close to, but that the current circumstances had somehow managed to do so.

The darkness, despite being separated from her through a barrier, seemed closer and closer to her, constantly, the screams of the Yokai reached her the depths of her soul and mind, and along their cries, there was another cry.

Their cries were nothing, but the byproduct of the original agonizing cry born from the goddess that was slain, betrayed by her brother…

Amidst the endless darkness, Yuki could see her silhouette, her crimson eyes, endlessly crying blood, her long black hair, her mummified corpse, her torn apart dress…

And she looked back at her.

Her voice resonated within her heart and her soul, as Yuki felt completely paralyzed by it, by this primordial darkness, this powerful voice that resonated with her and within her…

“It’s as if she’s getting possessed but the Yokai have yet to even pierce the barrier!” Ruby said. “Drake, we have to do something! Drake!”

Drake remained in shock as he saw Yuki screaming in agony, the darkness he felt, which was deeply connected with the Yokai coming from that abyss quickly made him realize that perhaps Yuki’s soul origins and the origins of Yokai themselves… were one and the same.

“Yuki, hang in there! Benladra, Kate, Hector, Andromeda, combine your Auras and generate powerful Holy Light!”

As Drake commanded, his Aura erupted, rapidly assembling dozens of runes and magic circles around Yuki, as Benladra, Kate, Hector, and Andromeda helped, releasing their Auras and unifying them with him.

“Yuki, hang in there!”

He knew right away that she was being possessed by these dark energies, and that whatever commanded them was capable of even reaching the very depths of her soul.

Drake concentrated their light into a single gigantic formation, as they combined their power, attempting to use it all into a powerful exorcism spell.

However, at that moment, a gigantic black fist slammed the barrier strongly, spreading cracks through it! Drake looked up, noticing a figure laughing amidst the darkness, manipulating the yokai and fusing them into a gigantic spectral construct.

“Hahahaha! Your time has come, you damned barbarian! All of you shall die tonight, and I will offer your heads to my Great Emperor, Oda Nobunaga-sama!”
