"Oh you're coming along too, Amphitrite?" Jeremias got really happy once he saw Amphitrite step into the boat, wearing a gorgeous floral dress and white sandals with a straw hat for the sun.
"Of course, I can't trust you Triton, you're too reckless sometimes, even less mom…" shrugged Amphitrite.
"Eh?! I'm not reckless!" Jeremias complained, feeling hurt by his wife's harsh words. "But… Actually maybe a little."
"I wanna see the coral reef!" Triton insisted, flying with his little wings up to his mother's shoulders. "Mama! Mama!"
"I know, let's get going then, dear," Amphitrite nodded.
"Sure, sure~!" Jeremias smiled, nodding. "Let's get going then!"
With his Divine Aura, he controlled the entire vessel. His Divinity was that of Fishing after all, fishing, controlling boats, and all of that came naturally out of his own divine aura and everything.
Pretty handy if you ask me, and awesome on its own right… I used to feel so rapidly detached to these simple things as I grew stronger.
But this, plus the parallel world I've been living on have made me feel much better, my mind has stabilized, and I don't feel like going crazy all the time either.
"Wow! The sea in here is as beautiful as ever…"
And well, seeing the beautiful blue sea, the blue sky, the white clouds, the bright sun, the tropical island nearby, the archipelagos and other smaller islands nearby, and the colorful corals deep down, with countless beautiful living beings.
It made me feel happy and relaxed! Honestly, it even made me wish I was actually reincarnated into a tropical island somewhere in Genesis rather than as a caterpillar…
Sure it would've been slower to grow and all, but maybe I would've had a memorable second life, one with a proper childhood, friends, and more.
I guess… that's one of the things I lacked the most.
"Is it? Well, we've grown used to this view since we were born, haha," Jeremias laughed, looking around as the boat moved on its own, it was practically a divine relic soul-bound to him, which reacted and moved through his Divinity Aura. "Right?"
"Yeah…" Amphitrite nodded. "But even then, I do admit that she's right… it's beautiful out here. Maybe I should travel more on boat, staying at the island too much has made me gloomier…"
"Well said!" Hydros nodded. "Let's explore the islands later on! How about it Triton? You'll love it right?"
"Yeah! Yes!" Triton nodded.
"I've heard from my dad that there's some really unique islands out there, there's like over twenty around this entire archipelago," explained Jeremias, as we felt the waves of the sea clash upon our vessel while we moved. "I remember he once told me about the time he visited a weird island full of crystals where crystal golems lived. And another that was a huge forest with giant trees, pointy-eared people was found there… they weren't that friendly though and kicked him out quickly after he exchanged some goods with them."
"So there's golems and elves, huh?" I wondered. "Was this all part of Gaia and the other Titan's plans or something? I really thought Gaia only made that island…"
"Our island? Yeah she technically did," Hydros nodded. "The others rose through the seismic changes and such she and the titans caused as they set their special Divine Land here… it's after all a mix of their divine realm fragments too."
"Hm, it's a really a wonderful place," I nodded. "Well, let's explore it to our heart's content then! Don't fear about danger, we're here after all. Grandma can take on anyone, you know Triton? I'm super strong!"
"I know! Grandma the strongest!!!" Triton giggled happily. "And-"
RUMBLE!
Suddenly, out of nowhere, the boat came to a halt… As I immediately felt a giant presence emerging from the depths of the sea.
SPLASH!
"SHYAAAAH!"
It was a formidable-looking Sea Serpent! With shimmering blue and white scales, sharp red eyes, and long gills and claws, it hissed at us angrily. The huge thing was over thirty meters of height.
"Uwaaah?!" Triton panicked, looking at the giant thing. "G-Giant! Monster giant!"
Even the little boy that was all brave yesterday ended up getting scared, this thing was huge for them.
"That's…! A Draconic Deepsea Serpent?! It's a Great God-Rank Divine Beast too…!" Jeremias said. "How did it get here?!"
"Probably it chased us from the island here, the boat is big and has that whale smell," I said with a nod. "Alright, Triton! Look how grandma handles this with elegance."
"Oooh?" Triton looked at me, as I leaped towards the serpent.
I manifested my own Divine Authorities, condensing them into my hands, fusing them with the golden metal of my Sun Scarab Transformation, and forming a beautiful sword with them.
Calling for Shadrach here would be too much for him, so I simply improvised my own sword, and I used the Skills he linked to me as my Ego with my new makeshift golden rapier.
"{Blazing Slash Tempest}!"
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
Slashes of golden flames engulfed the sea serpent's head, as the creature hissed in agony, attacking with water to try to stop me, as the ocean around it transformed into currents.
SPLAAASH!
However, I was inmoved and unscathed, as my rapier rapidly and elegantly pierced through its skull and body… I held back a lot, as I would've otherwise disintegrated this thing.
"SHYYYAAEEGGHH…!"
With an agonizing scream, the serpent fell into the ocean, covering it with red blood… I quickly grabbed the corpse, carrying it into the boat.
The family was naturally amazed.
"Wooow! Grandma so strong!" Triton said.
"Amazing…" Jeremias gasped.
"Hmm…" Amphitrite nodded.
"That was wonderful honey! How about we have that for dinner then? You went out of your way to not destroy it…" Hydros smiled.
"Yeah, let's eat it later!" I nodded, storing it away for now. "Now, let's go see that coral reef, I really want to see how it looks like."
"O-Oh yes! We're almost there!" nodded Jeremias.
