Dragon Genesis: I Can Create Dragons

‘Even here…?’
A frown appeared on Kael’s face as he saw the familiar darkness.
It was the same darkness that he saw in Everveil.
‘Is it because I am still in Everveil?’
Kael theorized.
It made sense—even accessing his Mindflow was as easy as it was in Everveil—so it could be possible that everything was linked.
Kael then tried to use his powers to show illusions to the people around him, but it wasn’t working.
He tried showing Lavinia her own image, but she didn’t react to it. Even stronger illusions, like placing a creepy beast on her face, didn’t work.
The Princess continued to laugh together with her Spirits, and Kael now got even more confused.
This did not happen in Everveil. Whenever he cast illusions on anyone, they worked. Yes, he still wasn’t a master in the craft, so the Kitsunes were able to see through his illusions, but at the very least, he could still cast something.
But here, his powers seemed useless.
Kael’s expression turned solemn. He activated Ancient Pulse to tap into Vitaria’s powers—a sure-shot way to cast an illusion—however, even Vitaria’s powers were useless here, and it confused Kael even further.
Of course, he knew it was a dream.
Honestly, it was outright foolish to cast illusions inside a dream. It was just that…
If that was indeed the case, he shouldn’t have been able to access his Mindflow either.
Something felt… wrong…
Kael thought about it for a while. Soon, however, the dream consumed him and he let go. Elira and others had appeared as well, and the banquet had started.
So he decided to enjoy the moment and think about this stuff later.
Time passed, the dream ended, Kael and others woke up, and it was now time for breakfast. Kael and Vita enjoyed the breakfast.
It was now time to leave.
Saying his goodbyes to everyone, Kael and Vitaria finally disappeared and reappeared back in their room.
Two and a half hours had passed; the sun was up. Lavinia had already taken a bath—it was now Kael’s turn.
He stretched his body and started brushing his teeth. Of course, he wasn’t alone—Igni and others were forced to brush together with him. Lavinia, who had been brushing Nyrri’s teeth for the past few days now, still couldn’t get used to the ridiculousness of this scene.
Dragons brushing their teeth like good little children was indeed… thought-provoking.
After brushing, it was time to bathe. Of course, Kael also cleaned his children one by one. It was one activity Nyrri loved a lot.
The not-so-little Laviatharid liked staying clean, and it was even better when it was his Papa who cleaned him.
After the bathing session, Kael nodded at the sight of his clean and beautiful children in satisfaction.
Lavinia continued to stare at the ridiculous scene with a deadpan look on her face. She also made sure to create a barrier so no one else could see this.
For some reason, she felt like the fewer people who saw this, the better.
“Father, someone’s coming.”
Imperia warned.
Out of all the complaining children, only the little ant allowed her father to do whatever he wanted without complaints. She brushed and bathed in silence—actually, she liked when her father took care of her.
The little brush her father made especially for her was quite adorable too.
“Who is it?”
Kael questioned as he opened the portal, sending everyone other than Imperia inside.
Imperia wanted to answer, but she held herself back.
“You should directly talk to him.”
Kael frowned at that. For now, however, he turned silent and nodded.
Knock Knock
After a few minutes, Kael and Lavinia heard a knock.
“Hero Kael.”
A man called.
Kael walked and opened the doors. There, his eyes fell on a tall, white-haired young man with steel gray, piercing eyes. The man wore the same clothes as most people here, and it suited him quite well.
*Picture*
With one look, Kael could tell he was a serious man who did not like talking pointlessly.
Well, that was what Kael guessed, but—
“So you are Hero Kael! You don’t look as heroic as I thought! You are much smaller! Hahaha!”
The man laughed heartily, and Kael…
He just stared at him with a deadpan look on his face.
‘I am taller than you.’
He wanted to say it out loud, but for some reason, he held back.
He felt like this thick furry coat these people wore made them look much bigger than they actually were.
“Hahaha! Don’t look too down, Hero! Once you stay here for a while, you will start looking bigger as well!”
The man shouted.
‘Yes, I know, because then I’ll be wearing the same coat.’
Again, he did not say anything out loud and continued to let the man speak his mind.
The man continued to laugh as he patted Kael’s shoulders. Lavinia, who saw this, laughed lightly. She could tell what Kael was thinking.
“Oh?”
Her light laugh instantly attracted the man’s attention. He turned towards her, and the moment his eyes fell on Lavinia, Kael noticed a strange shine in them.
Without thinking, the man instantly walked past Kael and appeared next to Lavinia.
“You must be Lavinia Dragonborn.”
He spoke as he scanned Lavinia closely.
“Yes, it is a pleasure to meet you.”
Lavinia answered politely.
“Pleasure, pleasure indeed.”
The man’s smile widened, then suddenly—
“Those old men in the Elder’s Hall must be blind! They told me you were an average-looking woman. Tsk, those old men and their strange taste in bigger women—fools, fools I tell you!”
He snorted, and once again—
‘Coat! It’s all because of a coat! Does he think this thing is a part of his skin!?’
—Kael’s mouth twitched.
Lavinia, on the other hand, was much calmer than the Hero and just smiled politely.
“Everyone has their own concept of beauty. This is what makes us diff—”
She tried to reason, but—
“No.”
The man shook his head.
He leaned even closer to Lavinia and, with a determined look on his face,
“You are very beautiful, Lavinia Dragonborn. You are the most beautiful woman I have ever see—”
“Alright, that is enough from us.”
Kael spoke as he pushed the man away from Lavinia.
“Now tell us about yourself.”
