Zanqua stayed her hands, not knowing if this mysterious person was speaking the truth or not, but she had only one chance, as using this formation would cost her a fortune. She had acquired it through banditry means and set it up using cheap labor, so it was filled with flaws but still enough to do the job, but this man claimed he knew such a formation was set up.

"It's a Mid-Level Immortal Emperor Grade Killing Formation, right?"

"Who are you!?" Zanqua growled, looking like a frightened cat as she glanced around.

His voice appeared to come from the shadows, from the void, or entirely an illusion, as the last one sounded right beside her. It crept her to no end, making her believe this person was not an Immortal King but a Mid Stage Immortal Emperor who was highly skilled in Illusion Laws.

Just who had her Cleaving Wolf Gang offended?

As bandits, it was not uncommon that they would occasionally trigger some bigshot, causing their bandit line to end. This wasn't her first bandit group either, so she was willing to leave to make a new one, but the enemy hadn't fully declared their intentions yet.

"Don't bother. Since you don't care about your fellow bandits, I guess there's no use killing them. To make a person fall, one must grasp their weakness. What is your weakness?"

"Weakness?" Zanqua's lips curled, "I abandoned that thing long ago."

"Is that so? But I can only try to have you in young master's bed after you fully submit. Hmm, let's see. When I soulscoured a few women here, I came to know a lot about your ruthless character. But I heard a rumor that says that you had two sisters when you were kidnapped in your childhood. Is that true?"

"…"

Zanqua was silent as though she froze over. Her gaze shook, but she smiled wildly.

"Hehe~ Am I supposed to remember such old matters? I barely remember them, so what? Are you going to kidnap them to threaten me? Feel free to do so because behind their backs is someone whom even the heavens are afraid of."

"…"

For a few moments, no voice came, which led Zanqua to believe that the other party was frightened. Naturally, she recognized this mysterious person was none other than the person who started investigating her, so she imagined that he must also know the background of her sisters before actually making contact with her to know her bottom line or threshold.

"Then I'll take you up on your offer."

But suddenly, his voice resounded again, causing her heart to skip a beat.

"Wait…! Bastard!"

Zanqua roared. Without looking, she struck in the direction of the exit, causing a huge wave of cyan light to erupt and cleave apart the entrance of the mansion. It buried some of the bandits as a result, but there was no sign of the intruder, causing her expression to flare.

"Dammit!"

She shot away with her fastest speed, soaring through the sky like a ray of cyan light, but a few seconds later, she slowed down until she fully stopped flying. She had her head lowered, appearing to contemplate a lot before she disappeared as she shot in another direction.

From the peak of the mountain range, Davis watched Zanqua leave.

He didn't give chase anymore but waited as he sat.

Eventually, Zanqua returned, and the mountain of bandits was abuzz. No one seemed to bother that some of them were magically killed in the unknown battle. Without asking anything, they began to relocate after receiving their leader's command.

It had only been half an hour, and Davis suddenly received a message from someone he expected would call him.

"Davis, someone tipped off to all the information networks in the Central Divide that Panqa and Lanqua are in danger. I don't know what's going on as this is sudden, so let me look into it."

"…"

Davis's lips curled into a knowing smile as he heard Mingzhi's voice. He was overjoyed that she established an intelligence network, greatly lessening the burden on him.

"No need. The culprit is their third sister."

"What? Really?"

Mingzhi was in disbelief. Had he made contact with Panqa and Lanqua's third sister?

"Yeah, I tested her quite a bit, and it still seems that she cares about them."

Davis chuckled a bit and explained what went on.

Mingzhi turned speechless on hearing what happened before she opened her mouth, "Damn, you're ruthless if you could frighten a fearless bandit like her into acting all secretive and caring."

"It wasn't me. It was her weakness."

Davis shook his head.

Other than the piece of information that came from collecting information on the Cleaving Wolf Empress, he conducted his own and found out a few things about her personal life that were privy to only her long-standing subordinates that he caught on his way here.

However, that wasn't enough; the main thing that he searched for was information that stated that she still held her two sisters in her heart. Otherwise, there was no point in letting Panqa and Lanqua meet her.

Sadly, he found no such information. There was no mention of Zanqua's sisters in any memories, so of course, he made some lie that he heard a rumor to test the waters.

Of course, even if Zanqua failed his test, he was intent on informing his findings to Panqa and Lanqua and letting them decide what they should do, but he had to make preparations first, see if Zanqua still held some emotions for them so she wouldn't harm them or take advantage of them.

It went beyond his expectations. Longing? Zanqua didn't even want to disturb her sisters with her existence, which was stained with sin.

She wanted to stay hidden and not show her face, and hence, she didn't even reach out to them by herself when he threatened her; instead, she tipped off intelligence networks to protect them.

So far, he was satisfied by her smart actions as she certainly seemed to be level-headed but also suicidal since she didn't seem to have much fear in her life.

Furthermore, he had become momentarily speechless that she would hold him, the Emperor of Death, in such high regard, even going as far as to say the heavens were afraid of him. However, it finally made a few things clear to him; his previous doubts were cleared.

"Mingzhi, inform the twins that their third sister is on her way."

Davis smirked as he kept the messaging talisman inside and stood up.

A few minutes later, he reappeared before Zanqua, who had just stepped out of her little bandit kingdom, intended to leave this place as it became dangerous.

"Emperor of Death!"

This time, Davis didn't bother hiding through darkness, space, and illusory arts as he had some fun practicing interchanging between the three Laws. He openly stepped up and instantly got recognized by Zanqua.
