Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 1062 Wills, Erased!

Chapter 1062 Wills, Erased!

Davis even knew the Pestilent Dragonfly Dusk Spawn’s true name, Hemlok Corpse Poison. A name granted by heaven and earth according to his inference. He had used the Death God Eyes to learn about its name long ago. In fact, he knew every Spirit Attribute Source’s name he saw in the Verdant Alstreim Treasure House.

He also knew some of the workers’ names.

If something untoward happened, he could probably have the Spirit Attribute Sources work together and have them escape or even have them self-destruct simultaneously, bringing an enormous loss to the store or bring chaos to the Alstreim Family if it were the former.

In any case, he could’ve easily taken the Pestilent Dragonfly Dust Spawn out the moment it broke through towards King Grade, but he didn’t use Fallen Heaven to erase its Will. The reason lay within three matters.

The first reason lay within the simple fact that he needed to lessen the reliance he had on Fallen Heaven. Unless faced with a threatening danger or an emergency situation that calls for a quick resolution, he had decided not to rely on it long ago.

The second reason was simply because of the ever-present cautiousness that he possessed about hidden onlookers. In reality, if it weren’t for Nadia, he wouldn’t have even known that someone was watching him, which ended up being Ancestor Dian Alstreim, a hidden onlooker who watched him from the shadows while he was battling with the Towering Cloud Hall and Falling Snow Sect in the outskirts of the Ethren City.

Fortunately, he hadn’t used Fallen Heaven at that time, or it would’ve quickly become apparent to Ancestor Dian Alstreim that he possessed some kind of frightening treasure!

That would’ve quickly caused Ancestor Dian Alstreim to apprehend him instead of talking about talent and whatnot as greed always has a chance to win out in the end. However, that still couldn’t be said without concrete evidence, but it would be an established fact that he would have no freedom upon Fallen Heaven being discovered.

Throwing that aside, he couldn’t get rid of the notion if that old fart might be secretly looking at them from a distance away using an unknown method to perceive them even now. It was not him being paranoid but a legit feeling that he felt from the experience of having being watched once without his knowledge.

He had watched too many shows in the past that he couldn’t get rid of this thought from his thinking process.

This constituted the majority of the reason why he couldn’t use Fallen Heaven easily on an enemy when he could still deal by using his own prowess. If he ignored and used Fallen Heaven because of his laziness, his actions would have a greater chance of revealing its presence!

At that time, there would be no medicine for regrets!

For these two reasons, he also didn’t use Fallen Heaven on Claire’s enemies.

In truth, if he had used Fallen Heaven from the start, Nora Alstreim would’ve died a reluctant death. She was innocent from the start but would’ve been framed by them and had history paint her as a two-faced woman and a jealous schemer.

Even in death, she would not likely forgive them, and if she turned into a vengeful ghost in the form of a heart demon for his mother, that would end up in a tragedy instead.

In all aspects so far, not using Fallen Heaven for this particular event resulted in him knowing more about the status quo and the schemes the people had for each other. If he had blindly killed, it would’ve probably resulted in them incurring the wrath of Ancestor Dian Alstreim, and he would’ve needed to equally sacrifice his soul essence to kill!

For these few reasons, he wanted Claire to get her revenge naturally. This way, her satisfaction would also be high, and if there were any heart demons that bottlenecks her cultivation, it should disappear or easily destroyable as well.

*ShhhS!~*

Davis twisted his hand and closed his palm.

The Will of the Pestilent Dragonfly Dust Spawn was erased by him, and its fate became sealed!

It now belonged to him, and it was up to Evelynn to reap the benefits!

"I wanted to use my species technique..." Nadia suddenly complained, but her voice was devoid of annoyance or irritation.

"Hehe, you’ll get your chance as there’s still the next time..." Davis consoled.

The last yet foremost reason was that Davis wanted to gain experience in killing these mysterious try natural entities of heaven and earth. It would be hilarious if he were to die from a Spirit Attribute Source rather than dying from a human’s or magical beast’s hands.

He needed to gain firsthand experience if he ever needed or wanted to take them on without using Fallen Heaven.

As for Nadia getting another chance, a Dark-Winged Twilight Wolf’s species technique was said to be an attack that directly targeted the soul. If Nadia had used it on the Pestilent Dragonfly Dust Spawn, it was clear that she would’ve been able to snuff out its Will, but it was unknown if she would receive a poisonous backlash.

He wasn’t a magical beast to know, and that’s why he was going to let her deal with the lesser threat, the Mid-Level Sky Grade Poison Essence.

He retrieved his soul force back and instructed her to place it back on the six-legged cauldron. Nadia instantly obeyed her master’s command and dragged the layered dark sphere towards the cauldron before dropping in it. She then removed the layers of darkness, and inside the hollow cauldron, a verdant sphere floated with a bit of flame burning above it.

Davis enclosed the cauldron with the lid and sealed it before absorbing into the spatial ring that it came with. He then flicked his sleeves, bringing out the Mid-Level Sky Grade Poison Essence that needed its Will to be exterminated.

The formation entrapping it was released, and it jumped out like a kangaroo with a vengeful expression on its bald head.

"Nadia, make sure you do not leave its remnant Will lingering around..."

Nadia’s lips curved into a smile as she looked at the prey in front of her.

"Master can leave it to me and rest assured!"

======

Davis and Nadia got back to the Purple Guest Palace without facing any interruptions. They returned the same way as they went, in a concealed manner. He had his reservations about hidden onlookers but seeing that no one came to bother him, it was more likely no one saw what they were doing in that relatively infertile plains.

He additionally got rid of the remnant poison and darkness energies remaining in that barren land with his death-like energy, so even if someone discovered an anomaly and came to investigate, they wouldn’t be able to find anything.

Nadia returned to his soul sea, saying that she would like to sleep. Davis knew that it was unlikely for a King Beast Stage Magical Beast to become tired this soon, so he didn’t understand her need for wanting to sleep. Even Nadia said so herself that she wouldn’t be tired before days passed.

However, he then realized that it should be her attraction towards his little bit of death-like energy that brought her back to sleep in his soul sea again.

’Anyways... The Transitory Beast Taming Pact Technique would automatically start doing its thing...’

Davis mused as he pushed open the door to Evelynn’s room.
