*SLASH!*
It was a clean hit.
One that Minnie's eyes followed steadily as the blade slowly cut through her skin, muscles, and then bones without so much as an interruption from any.
However, at this point, Lady Death's bony fingers were about to take her. She leaned even harder than ever, and the moment his blade passed through and cleaved off her hand, a blast of negative magic shot out of her body as she instantly teleported away.
She fell and rolled to the side.
Blood as black as the night splashed in all directions.
Some on Insect-B, some on the ground, and some on Crusher's face.
However, none made it to Lenny.
~Whistle~
"Impressive; you actually managed to dodge that. I see I underestimated you." Lenny complimented her in a sarcastic manner.
Minnie, on the other hand, stood up; her breathing was heavy as she looked at Lenny with intense fear on her face.
This was a fear that was apparent to all.
Minnie did not have eyes on her face but saw things in a different manner from most creatures.
In fact, one could say that she saw things clearer than most creatures, and just now, she saw her own death.
Blood like running taps spat out of the injury on her shoulder, and she could not help but grab it in a vain attempt to stop the bleeding.
Everything had happened very fast, from her appearance to Lenny's sharp turn and the wave of his sword that cut through her arm.
In fact, someone like Crusher had barely seen anything. His level was too low to have comprehended what had just happened.
All he knew was that blood had splashed on his face. This was the same thing for Insect-B.
All she felt was the stab.
She coughed up some blood as she fell to the side.
Minnie, on the other hand, looked at Lenny like he was a monster.
Aside from fear, she was also perplexed: "how...How...?"
"You are quite unfortunate. You see?" Lenny winked at her, "I just got stronger!"
Those words were said with incredible cockiness and a grin on his face.
Without a look at Insect-B, who had been stabbed and fallen to the side, Lenny walked steadily towards Minnie.
His slow, steady steps against the ground echoed in her chest, and her heart subconsciously followed its beat, not daring to go ahead of his pace by even a single beat.
Whether it was the loss of blood or the animalistic instincts of the creature's organs within her body pumping a mixture of fear and pain into her head, she did not know, but right now, she felt fear so primal that her insides contemplated ripping her body apart and escaping in different directions.
What's more, she had given her all to dodge that attack just now.
Even going as far as to intentionally sacrifice her arm for a chance at escape.
As Lenny drew closer, her breathing increased.
The death that she had only barely escaped was coming back for her.
However, there was a loud shout that pulled her from her thoughts.
"Minnie! GO!!"
Athena screamed as she grabbed Minnie by the leg; instantly, she understood what Athena meant and instantly teleported.
As she did, so did Athena.
"Shit!!!" Lenny frowned.
She had escaped. Unfortunately, together with Athena,
Lenny was really regretting not slaughtering Athena when he had the chance.
Now, she had stolen the opportunity of a kill from him.
Glenn rushed forward, and so did Crusher.
Crusher rushed for Insect-B on the ground.
While Glenn rushed to check Lenny's body,
However, Lenny stopped her, "Don't worry, I'm fine. The organ-harlot got away."
"Don't worry, I'm an elder witch now. If they are still within the domain, I can track them,"She waved her hands as negative magic like a river rushed out of her body into the sky.
ραndαsΝοvεl ƈοm Instantly, it blanketed the sky.
Glenn floated into the sky as her magic went in all directions.
Right now, she is the sole proprietor of the domain.
Her magic instantly connected with the domain as her eyelids fluttered like the wings of a butterfly.
She was searching for them.
However, after a few seconds, Glenn shook her head.
"They are not here."
Lenny nodded. He thought as much.
Since Minnie was able to take advantage of the situation and teleport out of sight, Lenny knew that there was no way she would still be within the domain.
Meanwhile, Crusher immediately held Insect-B in his hands.
Lenny had sacrificed her for himself without so much as a second thought.
Surprisingly, even though she bled and looked as if she was going to die from the stab.
Lenny thought otherwise.
After all, she was called Insect-B for a reason.
Lenny played with tiny creatures a lot when he was little. Amongst them are ants.
Although he really did not mind, he did not believe that Minnie's attack was enough to kill off Insect-B.
He walked up to her, and kicked her a little, "Hey, don't tell me you are that weak. You'll upset your old man's fragile heart."
Immediately, her eyes blinked.
Lenny leaned in and pulled out the cut-out arm from her back.
"I prefer the hearts. Here, take it and eat it. You'll get stronger."
He handed Minnie's hand over to her.
Without minding that Crusher was worried about her, she took the hand to her mouth for consumption.
Lenny stood up and walked towards the edge of the hill.
Down below was where the battle had occurred.
The night was already coming to an end as the sun slowly rose on the other side.
This battle had shown Lenny the importance of having a base.
Lenny turned to Glenn, "I want to use your domain." He was straight with his proposition.
"I can tell," Glen replied. "Don't worry, I really don't mind, as long as you..." she paused a bit as she looked at him in a meaningful manner. "Use me too!"
Lenny nodded. "Also, you are currently lacking in mutated beasts."
"Well, I have you to thank for that." She replied.
Lenny chuckled. "Don't worry, I have an idea."
He turned to Insect-B, "I know many of the insects are still out in the open; invite them in; let's prepare for War..."
