Chapter 3629: Chosens
Both groups looked at each other. This new group wasn’t made of random experts like the twins’ team. They were all from the same Universe, easily seen by the Red Color on their chests, which was the mark of the Universe F949.
One of the twins’ team experts had the same Light Color, so they obviously asked him about that new group. ’Do you know them?’
Ergan, that was the guy’s name, and he didn’t look very happy. ’I absolutely do. They are part of the Red Garden, all Demon Plants. In our Universe, it is the Red Garden that controls everything, and our Universe Owner is a Demon Flower, standing at the top of this organization.’
Everyone raised their guard even more. Experts from dominant powers were always more dangerous as they had unlimited resources. This new group that just arrived didn’t have as many members as the twins’ team, with only ten experts in total. Nonetheless, no one underestimated them.
Talking about numbers, with the twins’ group and the random experts in their team, they now had fifteen experts. But then again, if you counted Rifindio, Rean, Roan, Celis, Kentucky, and Elsie, their group actually had fewer Divinity Realm experts while all those ten Demon Plants were in the Divinity Realm.
A woman in the front also noticed them, especially Ergan. "Well, I definitely didn’t expect to see you this far, Ergan. How many times have you entered the Golden Palace? Five times? I guess all that experience served for something."
Ergan bitterly smiled. Yes, he had been to this Golden Palace five times indeed. "Lady Lafanxa jests. I was just lucky to meet these friends who had similar experiences to me. By putting the knowledge of all our previous attempts together, we just barely managed to get this far. This is nothing compared to what your Red Garden can do with all the knowledge you have collected over countless years."
Obviously, Lafanxa was the woman’s name. She had several traits of a Demon Flower over her body, not too different from Celis, although his traits were from a Demon Tree. As for her race, she was a Red Glittering Hibiscus, the same race as the Universe Owner. She even had a nice fragrance, although no one would be idiot enough to try to smell it. Who knows if it was poisonous?
Lafanxa nodded. "Well then, what are you all waiting here for? Just go ahead already."
Cafantrie, from the twins’ team, smiled in response. "How could we possibly go ahead of the famous Red Garden? Please, friend Lafanxa, go ahead first. We will watch."
"Is that so?" Lafanxa didn’t seem worried at all. "You heard them. Let’s go, my little flowers. We are quite behind compared to the top groups."
Lafanxa and the other Hibiscus passed by the twins’ group as if it were nothing. Yet, just as one of them passed by Rifindio, the two locked eyes at each other. They could feel it, a connection, something weird that shouldn’t have been there.
Lafanxa looked back, seeing that one of her companions stopped. "Getty, what are you waiting for?"
Getty snapped out of that moment, running after Lafanxa. "I-It’s nothing. Let’s go."
As soon as they stepped to the center of that enormous arena, Spatial Powers gathered, and they all disappeared. It was just like they were told when they arrived here. The arena would separate everyone and would test them individualy.
Roan glanced at Rifindio. ’What was that just now?’
Rifindio shook his head. ’I don’t know. When we got close to each other, I noticed some kind of connection. It was faint, but it was there.’
Rean looked in the direction the Hibiscus disappeared. ’That one seemed a lot younger than the rest of his group. Getty was the name that woman called Lafanxa used, right? Perhaps he is the chosen of the F949 Universe... even though we don’t know what the chosen ones are for. That’s probably why you could feel him.’
Rifindio had to admit Rean’s words made sense. He had never met that Hibiscus called Getty before. How could he have created a connection then? ’What do we do?’
Before the Rean or Roan could answer, Lindiho spoke. "It would be better for us to wait a while now. Once you succeed in the fight, you will not appear back here. Instead, you will be sent to the other side of the arena, outside. If those Hibiscus wait for us to come out, we might get ambushed."
"But how will we know if they left or not?" Werkel asked.
"We won’t," Lindiho shook his head. "However, the Golden Palace is also a run against time. Don’t forget we only have ten years to cross it and find out how to achieve the Celestial Realm Breakthrough. Even if they camp on the other side, they probably won’t stay there for more than a few days."
"I’m against waiting," Royer spoke as well. "If we wait here, we actually might bump into more groups. After all, this is a region that funnels everyone into this arena. I do believe we are fairly ahead, even if we aren’t the front-most runners. The longer we wait, the more annoying it will become."
Royer’s words also ringed strongly in everyone’s minds. They found a portal that allowed them to skip a few regions, so it made sense to believe they were fairly ahead of most experts. That also meant a lot more groups are coming from behind than there are groups ahead.
Lindiho thought about it momentarily and took Royer’s words seriously. "Yes, you are correct. Forget what I said about waiting. Everyone, it is up to you all. If you want to give it a try, I won’t stop any of you. I’m going ahead." Then, Lindiho also reached the center of the arena, disappearing in the next second.
In the twins’ group, they all looked at Roan. After a few seconds, Roan nodded at them. "We don’t have much of a choice. Let’s give it a try."
They weren’t the only ones. Their entire group decided to go for it and hope for the best. Soon, every single one of them disappeared at the center of the arena.
