Dark Magus Returns

Chapter 1270 - 1270: A United Pagna (Part 1)

When Amir saw that Raze hadn’t turned up, he was a bit worried. Even though they had spent quite a bit of time together now, he still wasn’t quite so sure about his whole personality of things.

He knew he was a man that put his own goals before anyone else, so would he even care for all of Pagna? Seeing him turn up now was quite the relief, but the nerves still hadn’t disappeared from him.

‘He said he made a proposal?’ Amir thought. ‘I wonder what it will be, and equally I wonder if the others will accept it.’

Now everyone was silent, waiting for Raze to speak.

“The truth is, there is a core issue among all of you, that you are divided into warriors and civilians. This is an issue that will never disappear, but you have to learn how to live among each other.

“So the first thing I will suggest, is the abolishing of the Factions.”

Immediately as Raze said those words, there was uproar from the clan members. In particular, one of the Demonic clan heads stood up.

“You can’t do that!” he shouted.

Raze turned his head to immediately look at him, and his fierce gaze had made it so the leader stepped back down into his seat.

“I mean, yes your the Dark Magus, feel free to do whatever it is you want sir…would you like a massage sir?” The leader said cowardly, which had caused a wave of embarrassment from those sitting next to him.

But they understood. In a way, what Raze said now, was what would happen, and all they could do, was try to convince him otherwise.

“The factions is what originally bought the clans from each part together,” Raze explained. “But right now, it’s what divides all of you.

“Division is what is causing the conflict in the first place. I understand you have a lot of culture and history within each of the clans, which is why I’m just suggesting the demolition of the Factions. The clans will still exist, but there needs to be some rule changes.

“Clans can have bases anywhere on the continent, as long as they kingdoms or Empires agree to a type of deal with each other. There is no this land and that land.

“Warriors are able to train under any arts even if their cultivation Qi does not match with another.

“The focus of the clans will be to perform the best martial arts, and that will be the focus. That is the aim of everyone after all. To excel in your martial arts, and reach the Divine realm? Then stop fighting each other and agree to go up.

“I understand the warriors wish to still prove themselves, and I think the marital arts tournaments are still a great way to do that, but they will no longer be divided by factions but clans instead.

“Although there will still be fighting amongst each other, large scale wars like what had happened, will be a thing of the past.

“As for the civilians, I suggest having one central government that commands orders to each city. Each city will have a representative that will take part in the central government.

“From there, every seat will have a vote in the ideals and laws of the central government.

“Lastly, as for those who will chose the representatives of each place, it will be the people. No matter what life they lived, where they come from, they will be able to have a say.

“And it goes without saying, that there will no longer be any borders between the lands in this case as well. Allowing everyone to go where they wish.

“All of you have been stubborn for far too long!” Raze said.

It was a proposal for sure, one that had some interesting aspects that some were happy with and others weren’t.

For one, it meant those currently that had a lot of power, would lose it, and those who had little say or power would raise up to be somewhat neutral.

The larger something was, the harder it was to control. So to leave cities and clans to their own devices was also a case they knew of.

But the issue was, these were the way things were somewhat like before. The only difference being the martial arts tournament and the central government.

“It all sounds idealistic to me.” One of the Light Faction Elders said. “The reason why we can’t agree on things, is because everyone has their own set of morals. Their own right and wrongs. Even from cities. To different clans that is inherently different.

“It might be fine at first, but eventually a clash will happen, which will cause things to go back to the way they were.”

Raze smiled as he heard this.

“You are right, and at the end of the day, history repeats itself one way or another, but what all we can do is try to create what is best for as long as possible, right?

“However, let me ask you all this, there was one thing that had worked. Something that had stopped the Warriors and Civilians from fighting each other for the longest time…and that was fear.

“Fear that those from above would descend down and stop the fight that was taking place.

“In the end. You are right, there is a need for a judge, to deem who is right and who is wrong, but the best thing to do, is to prevent the fighting from starting in the first place.

“Which is why, The Crimson Crane will be part of the Central government, and they will be the enforcers of the new world of Pagna.

“You have all seen their power, each one of them could annihilate an entire clan. Unlike all of you, they are wanderers as well. They don’t care for Light, Dark, or Demonic Factions, which makes them the perfect group for the job.”

“Us?” Alba said, pointing at herself, clearly not having been told a single thing before all of this.
