In the middle of a dense, but red-colored forest, where the trees grew over a hundred meters, Khal walked calmly with Moonshadow in his grasp while his eyes scanned the surroundings with the help of his Heaven's Eyes.
Ever since he killed the three Berserkers, he was forced to travel aimlessly in the hope he could find a city sooner or later.
Of course, his journey was not an easy one at all as the Second Realm was not a place like the First Realm. He was now in a world where danger lurked in almost every corner, and not only from beasts but from other races too and this was shown right from the start since he decided to find a city.
Just under a short span of ten minutes after he started to walk away, he was ambushed by three beasts and two other Berserkers. Luckily, they were all weaker than the first three and stood no chance against him as they were torn to shreds by Moonshadow under seconds!
And things only got worse than this as he traveled further away. Almost every five minutes, he was attacked by either a Berserker or a beast, making him feel rather annoyed.
Swish!
Slicing off a Berserker's head from his neck with a smooth motion before scorching the corpse away, Khal showed no change of emotions and continued to walk forward.
'Why is that all of the Berserkers I have met so far attacks me without a second thought? Are they that greedy or simply are lazy to communicate?' Khal sighed inwardly.
So far he has traveled for almost two hours straight without finding a city, but under such a little amount of time he has killed way too many Berserkers and Beasts he could count on his two hands, maybe the number was already in the three digits.
Naturally, whenever he killed beasts, Khal consumed their essence to increase his strength, which so far increased his essence by only 147 units, or at least that's how much he calculated so far.
And why was he calculating instead of checking it constantly in his status? Well... The problem is that he was unable to.
After he killed the first three Berserkers he wanted to check out his status while also seeing what his sealed Talent was, but found out with surprise that his bracelet was not working.
Khal raised his hand to see if it was reacting, but just like previously, it was not. Right now, it was just like a piece of a normal bracelet and nothing more.
However, Khal knew it did not mean he has lost his ability to use his powers as he already used his Heaven's Eyes and Hell Blaze several times so far while he also talked continuously with Nova, who was also a part of the bracelet.
So there was still hope and it seemed that the bracelet was simply on a weird cooldown or something like that.
[Berserkers are famous for their greed, especially when it comes to rare treasures. And because you are holding one in your hand for everyone to see, it is only obvious that you are a target.]
Nova explained why Khal was attacked all the time
[As for the communication part, how do you wish to communicate them if you can't even understand what they say much less talk?]
'Well, you can always help me. You would make a perfect translator, you know that, right?'
Khal continued to walk forward, but with Moonshadow still in his hand even after what Nova told me. He wished to familiarize himself with it as much as he could as he realized the more he used it the more compatible it was with him.
Continuing his way while taking lives away as though he was the reaper, Khal walked for another hour before he finally noticed a city wall in the distance.
'Do you think it's safe for me to enter this city?' Khal asked Nova while he examined the city from a safe distance from where he was yet to be noticed.
[If you put your weapon away, my answer is yes. Also, because it seems that this planet is the Berserkers', it is only obvious that the city will be full of Berserkers so try not to take out any fancy or rare-looking thing.]
[That would only dig your grave.]
'Noted.' Khal nodded and after putting his weapon away began to walk toward the city gates.
"Grad Suf Tottasv Gahskf Guysr."
'This again?' Khal sighed as he was stopped by a Berserker just before he could have walked through the gate.
[He is saying you have to pay a fee if you wish to enter.]
'Fee? How much?' Khal's face paled slightly as he realized that he had no money at all. Or at least he had, but that money was only useful in the First Realm.
[Don't worry. Except for the Fifth and Sixth Realm, the currency is the same everywhere, so just give them one Gold Coin.]
'Sure.' Khal sighed with relief and took out a golden coin from his spatial ring, which was still stuffed with many more, and handed it over to one of the guards.
Of course, he did hide his hand in his pocket to avoid the guards seeing that he had a spatial ring. Knowing their nature from the previous encounters, he was sure they would too start a fight over his ring just out of pure greed.
The guard took away the coin from Khal and after inspecting it he nodded and made way, letting him inside without further ado.
[Now that you are here, what do you wish to do?]
Khal looked around once he was inside the city, and noted down that this city was somewhat similar to the ones in the First Realm with the sole exception that everything, including the streets, walls, buildings, and so on were made out of red material, making everything red around him.
Once he was used to the redness Khal touched his chin and said, 'Well, I wish to learn the Ancient Tounge so I should find a library first.'
[That won't help you at all. If you want to learn it, you have to buy a Knowledge Pill and consume it.]
'And where do I find such a pill?' Khal asked.
[You can find many in almost every city. Like that stall right there. As I can see, it sells Knowledge Pills for a rather reasonable price.]
Khal turned to the side and soon noticed the stall that Nova was talking about.. Thus, he quickly made his way over it where an old man sat calmly, his face slightly hidden behind his huge straw hat.
