Chapter 3104 - The Girl Like Emerald Bamboo
Tianming picked a shell and spent two thousand merit points, using up all of his remaining points. Then, the contents recorded within the legacy formation in the shell flooded into his caelum. The skies opened up, revealing an endless stretch of land and sea. The land pulsed with life and the sea's waves crashed with vigor! Together, they formed a gigantic dragon that surrounded a star; there seemed to be no end to the dragon's length.
"How vast!" Tianming could almost feel the weight of significance coming from the sight. It was what the recorded contents of Azure Dragon Descent looked like to his caelum.
An endlessly long dragon flew about in the void, causing everything around it to crumble wherever it went! Its gigantic body was like a world unto itself. It crashed into the nova source world and caused its destruction before Tianming's very eyes.
The dragon of seas and mountains seemed to change after the crash. As the crash unfolded, Tianming seemed to be able to glean the way to use the grand earth order and grand sea order, as well as how to use the battle art itself.
"Magnificent and atmospheric! It perfectly combines the grand forces of the sea and earth, channeling the veins of power together to create a grand release of power on the target!" Tianming felt as if he had taken the attack on his own body. While it seemed simple, the core of the move was the fusion of two grand streams of power. The powerful reverberations would be able to allow him to use his orders to unleash fatal destruction through channeling his orders.
"Lan Huang doesn't know any battle arts, but that doesn't mean I can't use its body, my leg now, to unleash battle arts! Coupled with our respective cosmoforces, the power of this move will far outstrip what Lan Huang alone could dish out!"
Even though becoming a tainted beastmaster wasn’t a state of affairs he had desired, it did come with benefits, even amazing ones. Back then, Ying Huo had also relied on battle arts to strengthen itself. It was also currently learning Imperator's Mural, but it was only able to use Imperator Inferno's move so far. It was unable to use any moves that required other streams of order.
"Primordial Chaos Beasts are closer to wildbeasts and spectral progenitors, so they must have a harder time with techniques that require a high level of control. But after they became lifebound beasts and obtained tripartite souls, their ability to comprehend those things must have grown."
They no doubt also shared Tianming's Aeonic Grandbane aspect. Tianming believed that his beasts would one day exceed their initial potential as wild Primordial Chaos Beasts, Lan Huang included.
Azure Dragon Descent was able to make up for its rough and unrefined combat style. Tianming was looking forward to using it together with Eightruin Dragonshield and Lan Huang's dense, compressed body.
In terms of toughness, Tianming's right leg was definitely on par with an infinitum-class artifact. Without using his full force and the Grand-Orient Sword, he wouldn't be able to cut it off. In a way, he was even more specter-like than specters themselves.
Even considering all that, his body was still balanced. Xian Xian and Ying Huo were rather tough as well. While Meow Meow's defense wasn't that good, it had just so happened to fuse with Tianming's Fiendsky Arm, which was the part where Tianming's astron density was the highest.
In some sense, his body was being shared with his four lifebound beasts. Ying Huo, for instance, had more than half of its body mass in his right arm and right chest. It even stretched to his heart to some extent!
Normally, Tianming was already good enough with the sword that he didn't feel the need to learn any unarmed fighting techniques. But after seeing how powerful Azure Dragon Descent could be, he began to think deeper about things.
The entire time, Yin Chen helped him track Huang Daosheng's movements. The Little Lion King was still actively searching for him!
Tianming also heard quite a lot about the odd astral clouds that had recently appeared in the lower level of the Grand Myriadpath Ruins. Do they think it's some kind of natural phenomenon? I wonder what their expressions will look like when they learn that someone looked down so much upon was the cause of that. Tianming looked forward to the moment when he completely upended the traditional hierarchy of Myriadpath Valley.
He made sure to hide himself as best as he could so that Huang Daosheng wouldn't interrupt his cultivation. Time passed with him in deep focus until Yin Chen said, "Two people... there have... been looking... at you... for a... while now."
"They aren't Huang Daosheng's minions, right?" Tianming asked.
"They should... not be."
"Are they strong?"
"Middle aged... man should... be strong... but not... sure about... young girl."
"As long as they aren’t a threat. I'll keep cultivating. Listen in on their conversation and tell me if they make any odd moves."
Places like Battlesky Hall, Heavensource Starriver, and the Grand Myriadpath Ruins no doubt forbade combat from taking place within. The destruction of any public property would no doubt be heavily punished. The Grand Myriadpath Ruins, in particular, was the sacred resting place of countless ancestors, and any disruption of peace there was heavily prohibited. As such, Tianming wasn't worried about people watching, as long as they weren't members of House Huang.
"Got it," Yin Chen said.
Tianming looked in the direction it indicated and saw two people standing there. One was a middle-aged man with slightly messy hair and a lanky frame. He was dressed in black robes and stood still with his arms crossed. Tianming sensed a dangerous aura coming from him, one that felt even more threatening than Lan Yun's. At the very least, he was a reverend.
Fortunately, he merely looked at Tianming and didn't approach, even though he recognized him. No doubt, he knew who Tianming was. It wasn't surprising for seniors to be interested in a tainted beastmaster who had made it on the Fortuna Ranking before the age of a hundred, after all.
The other person was a young girl. Tianming's first impression of her was 'emerald bamboo'. She was tall, slender, cold, and distant. Clad in a light green dress, she also wore a veil that obscured her visage. However, Tianming could tell that she was quite an attractive person, based on the faint contours and shadows that showed through the veil, though that wasn't anything remarkable in Myriadpath Valley.
In fact, ugly people stood out more compared to everyone else, most of whom looked good. The appearances of people there hovered between the extremes of beauty and ugliness, nowhere in between.
The only way for the beautiful to stand out was the vibes they gave off. Everything from how they carried themselves, their upbringing, demeanor, and expression were key. That was how Tianming could tell that she was far from average, despite the veil. However, why did she appear somewhat out of place, as if she didn't belong to this world at all?
