Beast Taming: The Empress Is Shocked After Peeking Into My Future
Chapter 364 - 364 You Asked For It364 You Asked For It
Shen Fei’s expression was calm as he said coolly, “You asked for it.”
The surrounding onlookers started discussing among themselves.
“Is the young master of the Wang family so useless?”
“That’s a Flaming Python! What a waste! ”
“Wang Wei should be furious now, right?”
“Hehe, who asked him to be arrogant? Serves him right.”
“Speaking of which, isn’t Shen Fei’s move too sharp? It can actually ignore Wang Wei’s Flame Barrier.”
“…Shen Fei, you have humiliated me in front of my goddess!” Wang Wei roared angrily, attracting everyone’s attention.
“Haha! So much nonsense!” Shen Fei sneered.
“Today, I must kill you!” Wang Wei bellowed, and his eyes were bloodshot.
“Flame Shot!” Wang Wei sent out a side kick as he roared. A scarlet ball of fire with a searing aura crashed toward Shen Fei.
“Good timing!” Shen Fei shouted, and a majestic energy fluctuation spread out as he sent out his own fiery projectile. With a muffled sound, a searing heat wave suddenly erupted from the spot where the two attacks collided.
“Is this your hidden trump card? Unfortunately, it’s ineffective against me!” Shen Fei smirked.
Then, he stomped on the ground with his right foot, and his figure turned into an afterimage as he rushed at Wang Wei. Shen Fei suddenly drew out a flaming sword and slashed fiercely. A line of fire streaked toward Wang Wei.
“Parlor tricks!” Wang Wei snorted coldly and threw out a punch.
The line of fire was broken, but Shen Fei’s figure had appeared suddenly beside Wang Wei. He delivered a sweeping kick at the opponent.
Wang Wei’s reaction was not slow. He tilted his body slightly and narrowly avoided the kick.
“I don’t have the time to bother with you. Let’s stop this nonsense.” Shen Fei sneered and turned to leave.
Looking at Shen Fei’s back, Wang Wei fell into deep thought. ‘Could it be? Did he deliberately show weakness just now just to test my strength?’
The more Wang Wei thought about it, the more he felt that it was possible. After all, with Shen Fei’s strength, he definitely would not be afraid of him.
The problem was that Shen Fei’s attack had indeed posed a threat to him. He did not dare to chase after him rashly.
“Looks like I have to increase the intensity of my training. Otherwise, Shen Fei will really think he’s worth something!” Wang Wei sneered.
…
After leaving the Wang family’s spirit beast base, Shen Fei and Aloy parted ways.
When she returned to the mayor’s mansion, Aloy summoned her newly contracted Divine Fire Crow.
Since contracting it, the crow had turned golden in color with gorgeous wings. A jade green pennant hung from its tail, and its golden eyes were bright and lively. It looked very cute.
At this moment, Mayor Edward came down from upstairs. “My dear Aloy, you contracted another spirit beast? And it’s of the fire attribute.”
He knew that Aloy was not very good at controlling fire-attributed spirit beasts, because she was unable to comprehend the profound meaning of fire, nor was she able to tame spirit beasts.
Therefore, he was very surprised. How could his daughter be able to contract a spiritual beast in such a short time?
“Father, do you know why I suddenly want to contract a fire-attributed spirit beast?” Aloy asked seriously.
“You still want to keep me in suspense? Tell me, why did you suddenly contract a fire-attributed spirit beast?” Edward was puzzled.
“I told you before that Shen Fei’s strength in taming beasts is limitless, and he also has the Supreme Bloodline. Not to mention that Phoenix Bloodline is in his fire-attributed Flame Owl.
“I’m wondering if all fire-attributed spirit beasts evolved from the Phoenix Bloodline,” Aloy said slowly.
At his, Edward was taken aback. Then, he smiled bitterly and said, “You’re always so smart. However, you have to understand that the Phoenix Bloodline can only be awakened by sheer luck. It’s not just the strong bloodline that’s needed; it’s luck.
“You have to know that in the whole kingdom, the number of people with fire-affinity bloodlines can be counted on one hand. Not to mention a fire-attributed spirit beast with the Phoenix Bloodline.”
“Father, a beast horde is coming. I have a heavy responsibility to make a breakthrough!” Aloy said firmly.
She had disclosed to him not too long ago about this prediction of hers of the coming tragedy. He had wept later that night in the privacy of his own room for what his daughter had been through, but he also felt incredibly proud of her accomplishments, both past and future.
“Sigh… Since you’ve already decided, I can only support you,” Edward said wearily.
“Thank you.” Aloy nodded, revealing a confident expression, as though she already had a plan. “I’ll go do some cultivating first, Father.”
Aloy smiled sweetly and skipped out of the room.
Watching Aloy’s disappearing figure, Edward could not help but shake his head. A strange light passed through his eyes as she muttered, “I hope everything goes well for you this time! Don’t let me down…”
Aloy went into the cultivation room and began her cultivation session. She sat cross-legged on a futon. A wisp of pure elemental energy surged into her body, nourishing it.
At the same time, the magic nucleus in her hand emitted a bright blue light. Aloy’s delicate body trembled.
Then, the calm blue light suddenly exploded, illuminating the cultivation room with a bright blue light, reminiscent of the sky. A small illusory vortex appeared in the middle of the blue light. As the vortex spun, it released a strong suction force, swallowing the blue light and then gathering it in between Aloy’s eyebrows.
This scene lasted for a long time. At a certain moment, the blue light gradually faded, and all that was left was a blue-black mark.
“It’s a success!” Aloy said excitedly, then she erased the mark.
“Phew!” After she took a long breath, Aloy stood up and stretched.
During this period of time, she had been cultivating diligently every day. Even when she slept, she was cultivating.
“My strength has increased a lot,” Aloy said confidently.
In the next second, Aloy summoned the Divine Fire Crow.
Aloy handed a jade bottle to the Divine Fire Crow and said expectantly, “Divine Fire Crow, this is a fire-attributed spirit fruit. Go on, eat it.”
The Divine Fire Crow happily took the jade bottle, opened the stopper, and smelled it. The Divine Fire Crow then poured out the medicinal pill from the jade bottle. After sniffing it lightly, it became very excited.
The pill was dark green in color, and its surface was covered with dense patterns. It emitted a strange fragrance that was extremely tempting to the crow.
The Divine Fire Crow gulped and impatiently opened its mouth to send the pill down its gullet.
“Crunch!” The Divine Fire Crow bit into the pill and instantly turned it into a warm current that entered its body. A surge of vigorous power spread out from its body. The Divine Fire Crow was compelled to flap its wings and soar outside the house, flying non-stop above the roof.
After a long time, the Divine Fire Crow landed and prostrated on the ground respectfully to Aloy.
“Chirp!” The Divine Fire Crow cried out, its eyes staring straight at Aloy. Its gaze was filled with reverence. It was obvious that it had eyes only for Aloy.
“This is great, hahaha!” Aloy was overjoyed and quickly went up to pat the Divine Fire Crow’s head.
“Chirp!” The Divine Fire Crow closed its eyes in enjoyment.
“Hehe, Divine Fire Crow, from now on, you have to listen to me obediently. Otherwise, I’ll be angry!” Aloy said as she pretended to act cute.
