Chapter 5

Shoot!

“Slime, you stay and cover me! Remember not to hit anyone, if a pet beast hits someone, the Beast Master will be punished!”

Vincent Wolf tossed the Slime on his head back, activated [Rapid Movement], and ran away faster than a 100-meter sprinter.

Seeing that they couldn’t catch up to Vincent Wolf and that “the third man” had been thrown at them, they could only surround the Slime. Their fierce looks could stop a child’s tears!

The Slime was trembling with fear, surrounded by the group. Finally, with a crisp “plop”, it lay down to the side, pretending to be unconscious.

Then a white light flashed, and Slime was recalled back into the Beast Space.

These people looked at each other, not knowing what to say.

“Was our mission… a failure?”

“Not really, at least we showed him our Extinguishing Forture Club’s spirit.”

Someone hesitated to say:

“Actually, I think he had a point. What kind of pet beast he contracts with doesn’t really matter to us. Do we really need to mess with him?”

“Yeah, we can’t beat him, and we can’t outrun him. Plus, we’re not allowed to use pet beasts to fight in school.”

“But if we quit, we won’t get any more saliva.”

“I’ve had enough of you, you creepy girl!”

“Enough!” The tall girl shouted.

“What’s so arrogant about you? Doesn’t everyone know that you are just using an excuse to trouble him because you were rejected after confessing?”

“Weren’t you?”

The girls argued with each other without caring, leaving the boys feeling offended.

They gathered to one side and discussed quietly.

“Hey, you think we’re gonna stay in this Extinguishing Forture Club?”

“Stay your ass, I wonder why there are so many girls here, turns out they all got rejected after confessing.”

“Oh, then I guess I’ll stay.”

“What are you staying for, trying to get ahead? That’s not a bad idea.”

Vincent rolled up his sleeves.

“Eek! Little wind dog, protect me!”

The girl hurriedly hid behind the little wind dog, but the little wind dog also wanted to hide behind her, and the two little creatures began playing a game of hide and seek.

Seeing this, Vincent was no longer angry. He took off his mask, smiled at her with his elfin face, ruffled her hair, put his mask back on, and continued on his way home, leaving the girl standing there, dazed.

After a while, the girl’s face turned red as she jumped up and started running in the opposite direction of Vincent. Her speed was so fast that she almost dragged the little wind dog along with her.

As she ran, she cried out, “Sister! I met an angel!”

Before long, Vincent arrived at the entrance of a small courtyard and removed his mask and hoodie.

The courtyard was elegantly and neatly decorated, with a beautiful two-story building standing inside. Behind the building was a tilled plot of land with some vegetables and refreshing, pleasant flowers planted on it.

He carefully pushed open the door, peeking around cautiously. Seeing that Dragon Town was not present, he breathed a sigh of relief.

“Old Lizard isn’t here. He can’t blame me now. I followed your instructions by coming here, but you’re not here, so there’s nothing I can do.”

After saying that, Vincent Wolf leisurely hummed a tune and turned to leave.

“Well, well, Vincent, your courage has grown in the few days I haven’t seen you.”

A palm-sized lizard with wings on its back slowly floated into the air, with a collar around its neck dutifully translating the Dragon Chant into Chinese.

“Damn, how could I have forgotten Old Lizard’s [Doubling]!”

Vincent inwardly cursed his luck, but outwardly put on a flattering smile.

“How could you, such a great, great, great, Real Dragon Emperor, have misheard me? Perhaps it’s because my lowly voice cannot reach your mighty ears, like you who suppressed the ages, unparalleled, The Only One in the Universe…”

“Enough, enough!” Flattery might work, but it didn’t in this case, as Dragon Town’s split-mouthed grin was the best evidence.

Dragon Town enlarged its body to half its original size, and its two-meter-long body displayed tight, powerful muscles, resembling steel. Its thick claws were sharp, and its large dragon head had two rows of sharp teeth that gleamed with a cold light, intimidating others.

“Is this what a High-Level Commander looks like? Just the power it unconsciously exerts is so strong, it’s terrifying.”

Having just arrived in the Beastmaster World two days ago, Vincent had no firsthand experience of how strong high-race Level Pet Beasts were.

Now that he saw it, the reputation was truly not in vain.

You see, Dragon Town looked similar to a real dragon on the surface, but it was actually just a Pseudo-Dragon with a trace of dragon blood in it.

With this in mind, one could imagine how terrifying pet-beasts with high-level bloodlines were.
