Chapter 35

Vincent Wolf saw the security officer finish speaking and stepped forward, curiously starting a conversation.

“Sheriff Sylas, what did this guy do?”

“Don’t call me Sheriff Sylas, just call me Daisy. Oh right, I didn’t ask your name yet.” Dylan Sylas said discontentedly.

“Daisy, my name is Vincent Wolf. Vincent as in ‘memorial,’ and Wolf as in ‘marshland.’” Vincent Wolf immediately corrected himself.

“Vincent Wolf, I’ll remember. As for this guy’s crime, he’s an arsonist.” Dylan Sylas pointed at the Flame Crow, “That’s the tool he used.”

Vincent Wolf nodded; the man on the ground looked like how he imagined an arsonist would.

Dylan Sylas was very proud and triumphant, saying, “Hahaha, this most wanted criminal has been on the run for almost seven or eight months now, and no clues have been found; he’s been evading the law until now.”

“But unlucky for him, he ran into me!”

“Yesterday, I found a suspicious person lurking around here, dressed exactly like this fugitive, and I recognized him on the spot.”

“How come you didn’t catch him yesterday then?” Vincent Wolf asked.

“I wanted to, but just when I was about to act, the suspect disappeared without a trace.” Dylan Sylas was discouraged.

“Even when I reported it, my superiors didn’t believe me, insisting that the fugitive couldn’t have shown up here yesterday.”

“I argued with them and got scolded by my superiors.”

“I couldn’t bear it, so I came here to stake out today. And as expected, I caught this criminal.”

At this point, the supposedly unconscious fugitive on the ground couldn’t stand it and immediately cried out that he was wrongly accused.

“Security officer comrade, I am innocent!”

“I wasn’t here yesterday, I was far away from here!”

“You have to believe me!!!”

Dylan Sylas scoffed, then let Lightning Dog knock the fugitive unconscious again.

“Do you think I’m stupid?”

“If he wasn’t a criminal, who would dress like that and go out, sneaking around?”

Vincent Wolf believed his face really affected the city’s appearance.

Walking in the street with such a face, causing onlookers and traffic jams, frequent accidents, wasn’t that greatly affecting the city’s appearance?

Dylan Sylas patted Vincent Wolf sympathetically.

“Bro, don’t worry too much about it. As long as you dress neatly and cleanly, how ugly can it be?”

“Nowadays, girls who marry into a family look at their husband’s appearance. Girls who marry out don’t care about looks; they care about status, money, and strength.”

“Even if you are ugly, if you become strong in the future, marrying a wife won’t be an issue as long as you don’t want to give yourself away. Don’t worry!”

Vincent Wolf had felt uneasy about the love values of this world more than once.

Alas, in the end, it was the chauvinism deep in his heart that made him think that boys should be the main characters.

After all, his whole world had been educating him that way.

“Daisy, you just said you want to buy a house and get married, so does that mean you care about a man’s appearance?” Vincent Wolf’s tone was full of disdain.

Dylan Sylas gave a dry laugh and quickly changed the subject.

“What’s taking the car for escorting the fugitive so long? It’s really slow…”

“Ah, it’s finally here.”

The patrol car arrived just in time, taking Vincent Wolf and the others to the Security Bureau.

As they got out of the car, they saw a middle-aged security officer and a few subordinates coming to greet them.

“Well, well, Daisy, you’ve done a big thing without making any noise!” The middle-aged man smiled brightly.

“Hahaha, Boss Daxon, I caught the criminal, you tell me what to do now!” Dylan Sylas had an air of villainy.

“Boss Daxon, whatever you say, I’ll do it. How did my captain scold you just now, you can scold back the same way.” Captain Wales laughed and replied.

Then Captain Wales looked at Vincent Wolf.

“You must be the eyewitness and savior Daisy spoke of. You really are…”

Seeing his outfit, the originally intended compliments like “talented and impressive” and such didn’t know how to come out.

“A good citizen who stands up for justice!” One of the subordinates chimed in.

“Ah, yes, yes, yes! Good citizen!” Captain Wales nodded in agreement.
