Chapter 1294: Angel City (Part 1)

Chapter 1294: Angel City (Part 1)

Saleen turned and went back to the floor above, but saw that Sika had fallen and descended instead.

Saleen released a white ball of lightning without any hesitation. It rushed out of the hole that he had corroded. A person who was capable of forcing Sika to retreat could only be level 11.

“Saleen, I’m fine!” Sika turned over and stepped on the triangular bone piece. Evidently, she was unhurt.

“What about the soul beast?”

“Above. It’s a God Puppet. Be more careful.” As Sika spoke, a piercing whistling sound emitted from below her feet, and she once again rushed out of the hole. This time, she did not use the metal totem pole. The cost of using it was quite large for her. Her staff was the easiest to use.

Saleen used Jalin’s movement skill, propped up the Water Shield, and rushed in front of Sika in the blink of an eye. He was prudent and summoned dozens of lightning puppets from the air to quickly come down to the ground and stand in front of him.

A large hand swept away the puppets and sent them flying, but its movements had been affected by the electric currents on the lightning puppets’ bodies. Saleen took the opportunity to grab Sika and rush up to the surface, but saw a metal angel that was waving around a claymore and killing the Bug Angel Warriors.

There were very few Bug Angel Warriors, and they were unable to surround it. Saleen felt it was fortunate. If the metal angel encountered the Bug Angels, they would be able to suppress it. The warriors who were maneuvering the Bug Angel Armor did not have a sufficiently high level and did not have any means to deal with the higher lever metal angel.

The angel was not afraid of physical attacks, but elemental attacks were not the Bug Angel Warriors’ strong suit. Fire elemental crystals could be added within these Bug Angel Armors.

Saleen was aware of the extent of the Bug Angel Armor’s strength. Most magic spells below level 9 would be unable to rip it apart. If the warrior within the armor was not hit, the Bug Angel Armor would be able to continue fighting. However, with a stroke of the metal angel’s sword, the Bug Angel Warriors would immediately be sliced in two.

“Let’s go!” Saleen leapt onto the soul beast whose tail had been cut and flew upwards.

The metal angel saw that Saleen leaving and paused, as if it had received some commands. It threw aside the Bug Angel Warriors around it, jumped, and flew up, chasing after Saleen.

The soul beast’s tail had been injured, but it did not affect its flight. With a flutter of its wings, it travelled a quarter of a kilometer. The metal angel dispersed the air, forming a visible pathway in the sky, and immediately caught up behind the soul beast.

Saleen returned a Sigh of the Earth. Under the effects of the magic amplifier, the level 9 magic spell became exceptionally powerful. It actually petrified the metal angel, causing it to fall towards the earth. Saleen did not stop, heading straight towards Grand Duke Iron Blood.

However, Grand Duke Iron Blood had not seen his actions. After attacking two warehouses, Saleen found the items that he wanted, and his thoughts of pillaging the city immediately weakened. He did not even want to capture the metal angel and left it for Grand Duke Iron Blood.

The metal angel fell to the ground and broke into pieces, but the petrification effect vanished. It had been an accelerated attack. Being able to petrify it had entirely been due to the efforts of Saleen’s magic amplifier.

The fragmented metal angel was like liquid, and flowed along the ground and assembled once more. Once it got its bearing, then continued to chase after Saleen.

Grand Duke Iron Blood saw Saleen from a distance, Sika standing beside him and a gigantic metal angel releasing a Booming Sound behind him. He immediately understood Saleen’s intentions.

“Many thanks.” Grand Duke Iron Blood summoned a rainbow dragon, and the item in his hands swapped to a red dragon spear. The rainbow dragon’s body was much smaller, but its level was the same as the purple gold dragon. They had all been sealed at level 12.

With a flap of the soul beast’s wings, they moved about 500 meters. The metal angel attacked fiercely a few times and failed. Saleen had made several turns before arriving where Grand Duke Iron Blood was to give Grand Duke Iron Blood time to prepare.

A rainbow colored radiance shone on Grand Duke Iron Blood’s red colored dragon spear. The metal angel swayed slightly, and the rainbow dragon already rushed forth. The Grand Duke spear pierced through the head of the metal angel.

It was the first time Saleen had seen a dragon knight battle. He felt that the spear was more menacing than Nailisi’s Grey Memory. The Grey Memory relied on the Silverline Golden Spearfish bayonet’s inherent magic power, whereas the Grand Duke’s spear focused all of the rainbow dragon’s power. He was merely the person who aimed it.

Magic shields below level 12 would definitely be pierced by the spear. After Saleen made this evaluation, he attached even more importance on Grand Duke Iron Blood. If dragon knights were that intimidating, he could wrangle some more benefits from Alchemy City before leaving.

The originally powerful recovery ability of the metal angel was completely useless before a dragon knight. The red dragon spear contained the power of the rainbow dragon. The metal angel’s body hardened, its wounds opened even more quickly, and its head broke into two pieces.

When hit by a dragon spear, they needed to resist the power of the giant dragon. After Saleen had looked, he smiled at Grand Duke Iron Blood and retrieved a sealing scroll. “I need a giant dragon like this.”

The sealing scroll in his hands was level 11 and made of starline paper.

Grand Duke Iron Blood hesitated. “I want 50 pieces!”

“Deal!” Saleen readily expanded the sealing scroll, sealing the metal angel inside, and tossed the scroll at Grand Duke Iron Blood. Grand Duke Iron Blood was stunned. He immediately realized that they both had special goods. Saleen’s starline paper was extremely valuable and the sealing scrolls created from it would be especially effective, while he possessed giant dragons.

With Saleen’s capabilities, if he could sneak into the giant dragons’ plane, he would be able to hunt down level 12 giant dragons as long as they were alone. However, the coordinates of the giant dragons’ plane were only known by the core figures in his clan.

By exchanging 50 level 11 scrolls for a level 12 giant dragon, neither of them would lose. The starline sealing scrolls could be used to deal with level 12 creatures. However, the giant dragon Saleen wanted was a sealed giant dragon, which meant that it had to be higher than level 12.

Of course, Grand Duke Iron Blood would not capture a powerful dragon for Saleen. It would be level 13 at most, so Saleen would not lose either. If it was simply a level 12 giant dragon, Saleen’s 50 pieces of scrolls would have been too much.

A giant dragon above level 12 was not meant for cultivating dragon knights in particular. It was to allow the giant dragon to replace the level 10 dragon in Nature City. A level 10 giant dragon was not adequate for becoming Nature City’s guardian mythical beast.

The trade was complete. For a trade of that level, Saleen and Grand Duke Iron Blood could not be bothered to sign a contract. Attacking Alchemy City had allowed the alliance between the two to stabilize naturally. Otherwise, dealing with Alchemy City’s fury alone would be troublesome.

Currently Saleen was at Pompeii and Grand Duke Iron Blood was at Lianyun City. Both controlled Alchemy City from a distance. No matter which side Alchemy City chose to attack, the other side would also come to attack them.

The rainbow dragon circled in the air and rushed towards a magical tower. It opened its mouth and spewed out dragon’s breath, destroying the peak of the magical tower.

Saleen contemplated. He saw Nailisi take flight and made a decision. He caught up to Grand Duke Iron Blood. “I know a high level giant dragon will leave behind a dragon soul and will not be exterminated. I want a golden giant dragon’s dragon soul, and its level cannot be lower than level 16. Quote me a price.”

The rainbow giant dragon growled angrily, and Saleen roared back. His Thundering Sound was intimidating and blocked the level 12 dragon’s might.

The rainbow giant dragon could not help but retreat a few meters. It felt slightly ashamed and angry and wanted to attack Saleen. Immediately, a white ball of lightning appeared in front of Saleen.

“Stop!” Grand Duke Iron Blood scolded. Only then did the rainbow giant dragon close its mouth.

Saleen laughed coldly, tossing the ball of lightning at another metal angel that came from the ground. The white ball moved swiftly, entering the body of the metal angel and causing the metal angel to fall to the ground. Its entire body turned rigid, and it was unable to get up.

The rainbow giant dragon immediately looked afraid. Grand Duke Iron Blood said, “Saleen, a level 16 golden giant dragon’s dragon soul is too difficult to settle. If I was able to obtain such a powerful dragon soul, I would have to feed my own dragons first.”

“Grand Duke, is it not good for you to quote me a price? Don’t worry. As long as it is not my Floating City, feel free to state anything.”

Grand Duke Iron Blood hesitated. The golden giant dragon was the most difficult to capture. Its magical resistance was too high, and its physical defense was ridiculously strong. Even a level 10 giant golden dragon would be difficult to handle, and Saleen wanted a level 16 dragon soul?

They could only be found in the Cemetery of Giant Dragons. The golden giant dragons’ dragon souls possessed a large portion of its strength when it was alive. His dragon capturing squad could not handle it.

“If it’s your ancient battleship, I can help you restore it, including the magic nets. You have Dragon Blood Warriors. Dragon Blood Mages can be created as well. A low level Dragon Blood Mage would definitely have extremely strong mental powers. It would undoubtedly be the best if they were used as enchanters.” Saleen tempted the Grand Duke.

The golden giant dragon devoured by Nailisi was not a low level, but without a dragon soul, Nailisi’s advancement would be slow. The golden giant dragon’s corpse obviously did not have a dragon soul.

Grand Duke Iron Blood was immediately moved, but he still said, “it depends on luck. The giant dragons’ plane is fraught with danger. The cemetery of the dragon race cannot be easily entered. I will help you to search. Once I find it, we will strike a deal, how about that?”

Saleen nodded. It seemed like the matter of the dragon soul could only be delayed.

From afar, Inbosa saw that Saleen and Grand Duke Iron Blood were having a discussion and could not help but toss aside the metal angel that was engaged in a fierce battle with him. He steered his gigantic metal gear and flew back.

“Saleen, how were you able to enter the underground warehouses, I am willing to trade!”

Saleen burst out in laughter. “Inbosa, for the things in the underground warehouses, what will you trade with!”

“Golden giant dragon scroll. An ancient giant dragon’s soul is sealed in it. Do you want it or not!” Inbosa retrieved a red-gold scroll. The scroll was not tied up with the common magic beast’s hide, but instead with a dragon’s vein.

Saleen paused. He had used his territory to control sounds, but Inbosa had still been able to hear it. Even if he had not deliberately controlled it, such power caused people to be on guard.
