Grandma Yan knew that being a single mother would have been really hard for Ning Wei, and the fact that she was all by herself only made it even worse.
"Hmm."
She had seen Ning Wei constantly trying to hold herself back with the fear in her eyes which made her notice that what the girl was doing was wrong.
But Grandma Yan understood that the more Ning Wei tried to force herself to stop, the more hurt she would be.
Grandma Yan even suspected that it was just because of this reason that Ning Wei had been staying in her house these few days.
It was only when under Little Jia's saddened heart he went to Ning Wei after which she came back.
If not for that, Grandma Yan wondered that she might have stayed in her house trying to keep herself away from them as more as possible.
But this was just like drinking poison to quench one's thirst.
Even if Ning Wei was somehow able to pull her thoughts about Ye Qian, but the thing that she had kept her daughter away from her would have definitely made her regret it.
And thinking about Little Jia, Grandma Yan sighed in her heart.
If somehow the relationship between the friends and the young couple were to be soured due to this, then the ones to be affected the most would not be the adults, but in fact the two children, Little Qiqi and Little Jia.
And this was something that Grandma Yan was aware of, even if she had seen Yuan Meng loving Little Jia and Ning Wei loving Little Qiqi almost as if they were their own daughters, this kind of treatment would suddenly turn into something that would threaten to change the life of the girls.
Thinking of this, Grandma Yan shook her head.
'Children, no matter what you do, don't let the little ones be harmed in the process, this might create a big scar in their hearts later on.'
As she sighed the faint gasps of astonishment from the kitchen could still be heard.
__________
Meanwhile, in the kitchen.
With their eyes wide open with curiosity, the two ladies continued to stare at the way in which the person whom both of them loved was cutting the fish and removing the bones.
Seeing the scene which was not any less than art the two had been amazed and at the same time completely focused.
Right after which a thin golden thread passed from the rib of the fish as it passed from the centre as if it was not passing through anything but air.
In fact, if a thread were to pass through air, it would still be resisted to some degree, but this golden thread looked as if it was a very thin thread, but at the same time, it was not.
The reason was that even if it was thin like a thread, it didn't bend like one.
In fact, the thread was as straight as a rod.
If not for its thin diameter and the golden sheen it reflected as it passed through the ribs of the fish, it would have been possible for anyone to think of it as a fencing sword that was cutting through the centre of the fish into two identical halves.
As soon as the golden thread passed through the tail, the thread as if lost its strength to remain straight like a sword and bent like a normal thread.
"This, no matter how many times I see it, just defies what I have studied so far!"
Ning Wei exclaimed.
After they had washed the fishes and removed their innards, the two ladies who were supposed to be making preparations for the dinner were just too occupied to see the way Ye Qian was cutting the fishes and deboning them.
The two ladies wanted to make the needed preparations and were giggling when they were washing the fish.
Just as they were going to do their work, Ning Wei saw a thin thread-like thing appear in Ye Qian's palm.
She didn't clearly know just what it was, but she knew that Ye Qian knew some sort of magic.
Seeing the thread appear in his palm, Ning Wei was amazed to see just what was Ye Qian going to do with it.
One needed to know that the fish that the girls and Ye Qian had caught were quite heavy and each of them weighed at least half a kilo.
Just thinking about how the little girls might have been able to catch them with just their hands and even while they were in the water.
One could just think of it in a sensible way, fish were nimble and agile in water, and it was pretty hard for even adults to catch them with baits, but here, the little girls had merely caught so many with just their hands.
And the fact that this was their first time doing something like this would have been enough to shock even the best fishermen out there.
But after a moment, after closing his eyes, Ye Qian's hand flashed as the golden thread in his hand turned like a rod that would not bend as it cut from the head to the tail of the fish.
Seeing what had happened right in front of their eyes, both the ladies were shocked with their eyes wide open.
It was because the way Ye Qian had cut the fish was just too fascinating.
Not even a moment had he stopped and it can be said that the fish had been cut into two right from the centre cleaving both sides equally.
And all of this had happened in what one could say as a flash of a moment.
But it was not all.
As soon as Ye Qian did so, both halves of the fish turned around.
One of which showed a side which was completely devoid of any kind of bone while the other had a string of bones that one might be able to remove with a pull of their fingers.
Of course, this was because the bones had been loosened by who knew what method was used by Ye Qian.
