Tang Shaoyang and Vandir exchanged glances, then stared at the Void Knight. Karoen did not really say anything about his past or tell anyone as to why he wanted to get the resurrection. However, everyone knew that Karoen had an unfinished business, a vengeance. The knight just never told anyone about it, not even Tang Shaoyang. This was the first time they heard it from Karoen’s mouth.

The surprising part was that Karoen admitted that he was one of the natives from the Void Realm. From what he knew, Void Realm was the nest of monsters. Tang Shaoyang observed Karoen for a moment, and Karoen could be considered a monster.

“How do we kill him?” Vandir asked out of curiosity.

“You must destroy his real body in their hideout in the Void Realm. Even if you incinerate this body, he will regenerate his body again. He will come back no matter what you do unless you destroy his real body because that’s the only way to kill him!” Karoen answered.

Tang Shaoyang furrowed his brow and this was a problem for him. No matter what he did, he would not be able to kill Thomas Lysvand. He was not going to the Void Realm after hearing everything about the monster-infested realm. The Void Energy might not be an issue for him, but the hardest part was to navigate his way in the Void Realm.

The monster could not kill him, but he would be trapped and lost in the Void Realm forever. He was not going to take the risk unless he had a way to find the Void Cult’s hideout.

Tang Shaoyang looked up at Avyn and Zara, “What do you guys think?”

Avyn and Zara came down together, landing next to Tang Shaoyang. They gave a weird glance at Karoen for hiding the fact that he was from the Void Realm. Not the hostility type of glare, but the fact that he did not share anything about the Void Cult after their first encounter with one of the emperors in the previous mission.

“I think I can try something, but we need to catch him. I can’t guarantee it will work, but it might work.” Zara suddenly said.

“Then we will catch him,” Tang Shaoyang activated his Chaos Eyes to look where Thomas was. The void creatures swarmed at them, and the emperor blended with the void creatures. He found him not far from where they were, trying to sneak his way to them.

Thomas’ target was Zara who stopped the portal, and he noticed an individual movement, running through the void creatures, heading toward Thomas. Kiara was running in a straight line toward Thomas, and he did not need to guess what happened. Mathias influenced Kiara or even took over Kiara’s body to kill Thomas.

“There are too many of them! We are getting surrounded, Cap! We have to retreat and regroup with the others!” Castor yelled out as the void creatures’ attack intensified multiple times. It was not that he could not handle them, but he doubted that he could hold it for a few days like this. That was the problem with how many void creatures there were.

“We have achieved our goal, more than what we promised. We should retreat!” Anne agreed with Castor for the first time.

Their goal was to assassinate four kings, and they got seven of them. They exceeded what they promised, and the swarm of void creatures might get them if they stayed here for too long.

“You can go back! Salia and Nandra can help you to go back. I will stay and catch the emperor!” He would not let the chance of killing an emperor of Void Cult slide. This might be his promotion ticket straight to the Executive Administrator. However, he would not put his team in danger as well.

“Then we will stay as well!” Castor changed his mind quickly after knowing his captain would stay. If his captain stayed here to fight, then would stay next to his captain to fight as well.

“Do whatever you want, but make sure to stay next to my spirits!” Tang Shaoyang waved his hand at them and raised his voice. “Make a bigger space! I will summon Skelly!”

Hearing the command, his spirits blasted the void creatures and expanded the space, and Tang Shaoyang summoned the Skelly Family and their skeleton army.

Skelly1 immediately took command of the skeleton army and formed a formation quickly as Kaiser and Keeper helped the spirits to make more spaces.

“Capturing Thomas is harder than destroying his body,” Tang Shaoyang muttered.

“I can’t help you while maintaining the portal blockade.” Zara could not join the fight as it would split her focus. She had not fully mastered this blockade, and that was why she needed to put her focus on her skill.

“I think you two are enough to capture Thomas, right? I don’t think he is as strong as the previous emperor. I will stay here and make sure everyone survives.” Vandir said he would keep watch on Tang Shaoyang’s team members, but his eyes were on the Void Creatures.

Tang Shaoyang furrowed his brow, not because of Vandir but because of Kiara. Kiara was fighting the emperor, and the tiger beastmen were losing even after the fusion with Mathias.

“We have to be quick before Mathias gets Kiara killed,” Tang Shaoyang pulled out his sword, raising his sword to the sky. The sky suddenly glowed in golden light.

People could see what was the source behind the golden light as everyone could see the shade of a golden sword beyond the black sky.

Fourth Heavenly Gate – Heavenly Sword: Heaven Fall!

Tang Shaoyang brought down his sword, and thousands of golden swords came down from the sky. The golden swords struck down the void creatures and killed more than ten thousand void creatures. It immediately cleared the area around them and exposed Thomas Lysvand who was fighting Kiara.

“What are you doing, Kiara!?” Anne bellowed as she realized that Kiara was not with them. No one noticed Kiara was not with them until they saw Kiara fighting the emperor.

The tiger beastmen suffered a lot of cuts from the sword. Her shoulder was bleeding, her chest was bleeding, and her left hand was dangling.

Tang Shaoyang appeared between Kiara and Thomas Lysvand. His left hand was glowing in gold, basked in Heavenly Energy. He sent his palm toward Thomas’ chest, and Thomas reacted in time, blocking the palm with his four swords.

The emperor skidded through from the impact, but he completely negated Tang Shaoyang’s attack. To his surprise, Tang Shaoyang showed his back toward him after the initial strike. That angered the emperor as he saw it as a humiliation to him, an emperor from the Void Cult. He was feared by alliances and factions in the God Realm, and yet this administrator dared to give him his back during the fight.

Thomas roared as an image of a black tiger formed behind him. His four swords aimed at Tang Shaoyang’s back, and his figure blurred as the image of the black tiger leaped, following him as well.

“DIE!”

Halfway to reach Tang Shaoyang, a block of ice appeared and his sword hit the ice. To his shock, his sword bounced back and the image of the black tiger dissipated as the cold air spread out. His eight eyes widened in shock, one of his sword techniques was blocked by a block of ice.

A figure stood on top of the ice, and he saw the woman with the dragon bloodline standing there, looking down at him with a smug smile. As if she was mocking his sword technique.

“That’s right, I am mocking your sword technique. I thought you would break my ice, but you bounced back.” As if Avyn could read Thomas’ mind, she provoked him.

Tang Shaoyang attended Kiara or more like Mathias who took over Kiara’s body. He held Kiara’s neck and pushed her down to her knees. He looked at her eyes, filled with hatred and anger. That confirmed his guess, Mathias took over Kiara’s body.

“If you don’t stop this madness, then I have to kill you, Mathias!” Tang Shaoyang’s voice was cold and filled with killing intent.

That made Kiara (Mathias) snap out and look up at Tang Shaoyang in surprise. “I have to kill him! This is the only chance to kill him!” Mathias did not want to give up the chance in front of him.

Tang Shaoyang’s grip became stronger, making sure Mathias could not move. At the same time, he pulled out the Void Energy in Kiara’s system. She did not have Void Elemental Power like him, and the sword injected the Void Energy into her body.

“You are weak! You can’t kill him. Even if you have the power to win against him, you can’t kill him. He can’t be killed unless we destroy his real body! And for your foolishness, you almost got Kiara killed! Give her back her body before I pull you out and kill you before I kill Thomas!”
