Among the three kinds of city guards, the Inner City Guards were the most hated, and the weakest in terms of overall strength.

The Wall City Guards has a member requirement of having at least an F-Apprentice Rank along with their summons. The Road City Guards has a member requirement of having their Summoned Monster at least, E-Elite Rank.

On the other hand, to join the Inner City Guards, one must only need to have a summon that is at F-Apprentice Rank.

The guard that was trying to scam them only has an X-Mortal Rank while his Monster, Brown Viper, is already at the F-Apprentice Rank.

And being stared down by Ban, who was a Rank higher than him made the guard shiver in fright. Ban did not show his strength yet, but his voice and the color of his eyes alone already made the guard scared shitless.

Not to mention, his beloved Brown Viper who was already at F-Apprentice Rank was easily thrown away by Eva, which made him even more scared.

He gulps a mouthful of saliva as he retreats a few steps back to distance himself from Ban.

"Y-you... W-what are you trying to do, I'm one of the city guards, you can't touch me or you'll need to pay a fine for assaulting a guard on duty!" The guard reasoned as he tried to stop Ban from approaching him.

Hearing that, Ban also stopped as he did not want to pay anything, as he did not want to waste his coins on matters he can avoid.

However, recalling that this guy tried to scam him before, he no longer thought about it as he tried to walk calmly towards him again.

The guard kept on retreating and at that moment, he suddenly stumbled upon a rock causing him to fall over his butt.

"B-browny, come here!" The guard shouted in fear, trying to call his Brown Viper over for help.

However, a moment later, he was confused as his Brown Viper still had not arrived to help him.

He turned his head and took a glance at the area where the viper was thrown to previously and at that moment, he couldn't help but widen his eyes even more in shock at what he just witnessed.

His F-Apprentice Rank Brown Viper that he was so proud of was actually pinned down by that humanoid ant.

He could understand why it was thrown before as he thought that it was just a fluke. However, seeing his viper getting pinned down by that ant easily, he couldn't help but question his intelligence.

After all, the Viper has the same thickness as that of the ant but it was definitely longer compared to the insect.

That's when the guard realized that he nipped, he fucked up.

Just like its owner, Eva stared down at the viper coldy while her arms were wrapped around her chest. There was a frown on her face at the thought of the snake interrupting her leisure time on Ban's shoulders earlier.

One of her feet was stepping forcefully on the area a few inches away from the snake's head as per Ban's order. It was the point of weakness of the snake and Ban already informed her about it earlier.

At the same time, Ban had already arrived in front of the guard. The guard was now backed in a corner and he could no longer retreat back.

Even though he did nothing, Ban could notice the apparent fear on the guard's face. He did not know what exactly happened for him to be in that state, but he later attributed it as the mask's hidden effect. After all, it also happened at the Adventurers Guild, and only the receptionist was not affected by it, or at least, that's what he observed.

Suddenly, a nauseating smell assaulted Ban's nose and that's when he noticed that a puddle of liquid was already forming on the guard's crotch area.

Ban retreated a few step backs as he felt disgusted after seeing a grown man pissed his pants. He was only 16 years old and he no longer pissed on his bed, and this 25 years old guard in front of him somehow did it? And in front of him at that.

Ban shook his head as he prepared to turn around and leave. He doesn't intend to do anything from the start and he only wants to threaten the guard, for trying to scam him and trying to attack George who was only trying to tell the truth.

He could have attacked directly if he wanted to, but he knew that it would only spill him trouble. He was only pretending to be strong after all, and his current strength was only at F-Apprentice Rank. Paired with Eva at X-Mortal Rank and the Rogue Red Termite that was still healing, and Eva's Royal Ant Guard, he estimated that they might be able to fight an E-Elite Rank Summoner or Monster, if there's only one, just like what happened earlier on the Termite Cave.

After contracting the Rogue Red Termite, Ban came to know that it was only at F-Apprentice Rank, while the Hermit Termite was actually the one at E-Elite Rank.

However, unlike Beasts, there could be more than one Summoner at E-Elite Rank present in the area and he did not want to be under their radar, for now.

And just as he was about to turn around, he suddenly heard a worried voice from his back. "Sir Leon, just let it go. No one was hurt and if you decide to lay a hand on him, trouble will just continue coming in your way. The inner city guards are after all on the direct command of the Vice Lord."

Hearing that, Ban could not help but nod his head. The Vice Lord was definitely trouble, and even Kuys personally mentioned that he doesn't like the Eagle City's Vice Lord.

"Good job on telling me it was a scam!" Ban nodded towards George to express his gratitude, he was about to bow to George but fortunately managed to stop himself when he recalled what kind of persona he was playing.

For Ban, it was his way of expressing gratitude with the Leon persona, but for George, it's as if a prick just got removed somewhere around his body.

'I'm actually right, Sir Leon was really trying to test me, good thing I acted immediately.'

"Come here, little one!" Ban beckoned for Eva to come over in which the latter did not hesitate to comply. She then jumped towards her favorite spot- Ban's shoulder, before she sat like a queen again.

Ban took a final look at the terrified guard and he did not feel an ounce of pity while looking at his terrible state. He thought that he deserved it, and he was even lucky that Ban did not attack him.

"Lead the way!" Ban ordered as he tapped George's shoulder.

"Right away Sir Leon!" George replied enthusiastically as he walked in front of Ban.

And just as they were about to enter the Adventurers Market, a sudden shout suddenly interrupted them again.

"Halt!"

'What now? Another Scam?'
