“I Will Do the Things I’ve Promised” (1)

Shi An: “…”

What a request!

He stood still and hesitated for two seconds before carefully leaning forward and pressing his lips over.

His lips touched the surface of the other’s lips for a brief second, and then he hurriedly drew back.

Mu Heng slightly narrowed his eyes. His icy ocean-like eyes were hidden in the shadows, the color under the eyes somewhat inscrutable.

Shi An quietly moved back a tiny step and said warily, “You’ve made the promise!”

Mu Heng pondered for two seconds and compromised. “Okay.”

Shi An breathed a sigh of relief, unnoticed.

He thought for a moment and asked, “So, when will we set off to the Luosi District?”

Mu Heng answered, “Tonight.”

The situation was getting more complicated and the dragon’s strength rapidly recovered. Time was a precious resource, so they had to scramble for every second.

Shi An nodded. “Okay. I will return to pack my things! See you at night.”

Mu Heng said, “I will send for you.”

The thought of spending so much time in a confined space with the other party made Shi An cringe in his heart.

He hurriedly shook his head. “N-No need! I can return by myself!”

As soon as the words left his mouth, Shi An turned around hurriedly to leave, but before he could take a few steps out, his elbow was gently caught by the other party. “Hold on.”

The man’s palm pressed against the young man’s arm and the hot, burning temperature easily seeped into the thin fabric.

Shi An suddenly stiffened and subconsciously turned his head to look.

The man stepped forward unhurriedly and the distance between the two was immediately shortened.

The two of them were nose-to-nose.

His eyes were intense and the bottom sank with indefinable emotion like the faraway blue sky.

Mu Heng’s eyes gradually moved down, gently landing on Shi An’s lips.

The young man’s lips were slightly open, his lips light red, his lower lip full and soft, with a faint tooth mark left like the petals of a crushed flower that could ooze out the sweet juice with a little force.

He lifted a hand and the warm fingertips traced his jaw.

The fingertips against the skin brought up a subtle shiver like a cluster of electric currents running through that small skin.

Shi An could hear his heart begin to thump.

Not knowing whether the other person’s slight presence was too strong or something else, his nerves involuntarily tensed up and his body froze in place, unable to move.

Mu Heng’s fingers swept back and his long and powerful fingers gently picked up a strand of the young man’s slightly wet hair. Shallow magic fluctuations surged against Shi An’s cheeks, and in the next second, the vapor evaporated in a controlled manner and disappeared into thin air.

This was not the first time he did this.

But the way he did it on these two occasions was worlds apart.

However, the depths of the man’s eyes seemed trapped in some ethereal mist.

He withdrew his hand and took a slight step back.

“Done.”

***

Shi An was still distracted when he returned to the small villa.

As soon as he returned to his room, he was surrounded by the three demonic creatures. “My lord, my lord, why do you only return now? We were worried to death!”

Since Shi An went to the Bureau this time, all three demonic creatures did not follow him to avoid being discovered.

The blurred face of Black Smoke took on a little look of hopeful longing.

“My lord, have you gotten the magically expanded bag?”

Shi An seemed to come back to his senses. “O-Oh! I got it.”

He pulled out the flaky gray bag from his pocket, injected his magic power into it and soon, the vast space instantly extended, big enough to fit in all the treasures he had now recovered.

But it wouldn’t be easy to fit in more.

But Shi An was not worried. His magic power would have another significant breakthrough when he found the rest of the treasures. By then, the bag space should also become more extensive.

Looking at the bag in front, Black Smoke almost cried with joy.

Finally, at last! It finally didn’t have to worry about choking to death on treasures anymore!

However, just as Black Smoke was about to transfer all the treasures, it was stopped coldly by Shi An.

“Remember to wash them before putting them in.”

Black Smoke: “…”

So you genuinely do it because you disdain me, huh?

Black Smoke tugged on the bag and drifted into the bathroom in a highly depressed mood.

Soon, the sound of clattering water came from the bathroom. It was evident that Black Smoke began to resign himself to cleaning the treasure.

Shi An threw his whole body into the bed, buried his head into the pillow, and let out a stifled cry.

“So tired…”

The Eye hurriedly scurried up, waving his two thin arms, and attentively pounded Shi An’s back. “My lord, do you feel better like this?”

Shi An moved his head, twisted his head, and looked over, expressionlessly saying, “No.”

The Eye said, “Then…”

Shi An said coldly and ruthlessly, “Don’t touch me.”

You are slightly disgusting.

The Eye: “…”

Hing.

It sobbed and sat in the corner, holding its wounded heart in self-pity.

After hurting two demonic creatures in a row, Shi An felt that his mood was finally improving.

He rolled over, sat up, and said, “By the way, we will go to the Luosi District next.”

“… Eh?” Three incredulous voices came from three different directions.

Shi An briefly told his plan.

“In short, we must get it done quickly,” he announced solemnly.

It always felt like something would go beyond his control… if he continued to drag on.

It was hard to say what it was, but all he knew was that this feeling, which seemed like a precursor to a fall, caused him some vague panic.

He was not a dragon that was very good at adapting to the changing environment.

Otherwise, Shi An would not have slept in the cave for thousands of years.
