Grey communicated what he saw to Klaus, and his expression turned serious.
"What do we do now?" Klaus couldn't help but ask.
If the Gnomes didn't have anyone above the First stage, they might have tried to take them on. Thanks to the Killer Fluffies, they had a large amount of manpower, well, bunnypower, but it doesn't change the fact that they were working with them.
"We can't fight them. And we need to make sure no one uses the portal to go back, if not it'll be compromised." Grey replied.
"So…"
"I'll talk to my dad." Grey answered and brought out his communication device, he gave one to his father, so he could reach out to him whenever he wanted to.
It took a while but his father replied, after finding out their location, he told Grey to reach out to his mother, since she was still in the Southern Continent with Cori. Coincidentally, her Family's manor was close to the region Grey and Klaus were currently situated.
"What's up?" Klaus asked when he saw Grey's expression.
"My mom is here, I'll try to reach out to her and see if she can come help us out." Grey immediately tried to contact his mother. From the looks of things, his father was busy and has most likely tossed the task to his mother.
To be fair, given the strength he has sensed from his mother, he guessed she should at least be at the Peak of the Sovereign Plane. The more he thought about it, the more he found it confusing that they would stay in a small place like Red City in the faraway Azure Continent. His parents truly are a strange pair.
He didn't dwell in this as he tried to reach out to his mother. It didn't take long and she told him she was coming.
Grey continued investigating and even used the man to create an array formation that would make sure none of the ripples from the upcoming battle would get to the portal.
In the space of an hour, Martha arrived at the scene, Cori was beside her.
When she laid her eyes on Grey, she couldn't help but smile.
"The Sovereign Plane, I guess you're bound for the God Plane, according to the apparition." She commented.
She knew Grey's friends knew a lot about him so she didn't hide it.
Cori ran over to hug Grey. After exchanging pleasantries with the little, yet extremely powerful girl, he turned his attention to his mother.
"Mom, so the situation is like this…"
Grey went on to tell her of how he has been wiping out the Necromancers hideouts in the area.
"You're doing a wonderful job." She praised.
"What's the situation inside?" She asked.
"I'm trying to create an array formation to ensure the portal isn't disturbed." Grey replied.
"Why? Wouldn't destroying it be better?" Martha raised a brow.
"I don't want to alert the Gnomes, what if they have another portal in another hideout?" Grey explained, he added, "They're already sending in troops, which means they're preparing for the war. We can't give them the edge. Taking out this group secretly will make it easier to take out more."
"I see. Alright, give me a minute." Martha replied and flew into the air.
"Wait." Grey hurriedly stopped her.
"What?" She looked at him with a baffled expression.
"I have someone inside, I need to bring him out." Grey gave an awkward smile.
"Someone?" Martha looked at him questioningly.
"Well, I'll tell you after. I can send you inside and bring him out at the same time. I'll tell you about everything inside so you'll know to avoid the portal." Grey explained.
"Don't worry, I can sense the location of the portal." Martha smiled at Grey's words. She found it amusing. From the looks of it, her son was looking down on her abilities.
"I have some things to attend to with Cori, tell me what this person you have inside looks like and I'll keep him alive." She said.
"Oh." Grey used ice to create a sculpture of the man inside.
"Playing with ice I see… sit back and watch mother show you the beauty of ice." Martha chuckled and her figure turned into snow.
It turned into literally snow, both Klaus and Grey had their mouths wide agape. Grey hasn't seen his mother in action, he has always heard she was fierce, but he had never seen her use much of her abilities other than the usual ones.
In the blink of an eye, the snow which was before them started to spread. The entire region turned into a white world, a world of snow. Everything the snow passed through turned white, becoming snow.
Grey and Klaus expected the trees to become frozen solid and eventually die from it, but to their shock, the trees seemed to have been brought to life as they adopted a white glow, each leaf turned white, leaving Grey and Klaus stunned.
"I need to learn that." Klaus blurted out in awe. He couldn't hide the worship in his eyes, it was as if he was watching an incredible work of art. To be honest, the scene unfolding before them looked ethereal.
Even Grey had the same thoughts. He also had the water element and could use its ice ability.
In no time, Martha passed through the building, and Grey used the man inside to witness the shocking events unfolding inside. Every single person the snow blew past turned into a snow sculpture, not even an ice sculpture. The strength required to turn a human into snow, not ice, but snow was unfathomable to the present Grey.
'Is she trying to show off?'
This thought flashed through Grey's head. He felt his mother was doing this on purpose.
The entire scene didn't take more than five seconds, from when Martha turned into snow, to when everything she passed became a part of her snow white world.
"Damn!" Klaus exclaimed as he looked at what was before them.
