"That's great! I'm sure we'd all be very thankful if you could share that spatial treasure with us," the red-robed woman immediately said, and the black-robed young man nodded eagerly in agreement.

"You seem a little hesitant, Fellow Daoist Sun. Could it be that there are some difficulties involved in using this treasure?" the yellow-robed man asked.

"Indeed, Fellow Daoist Lian. The immortal treasure in question is a fifth tier immortal treasure that has sustained some damage, so the five of us will have to combine our powers to use it, and it'll be quite taxing on all of us. Would the four of you be willing to help me?" Sun Chongshan asked.

A hint of greed flashed through the yellow-robed man's eyes upon hearing this, and he readily agreed, "Of course. Anything would be better than having to suffer passively like this."

The red-robed woman and the black-robed young man also nodded in agreement, but the white-robed nun remained silent.

"What do you say, Celestial Maiden Yu?" Sun Chongshan asked.

There was a hesitant look on her face, but as more and more golden blades of wind crashed into the flying boat, the commotion was only getting louder and louder, to the point that she was struggling to breathe, so she finally acquiesced in the end.

"If this immortal treasure of yours can shelter us, then I'm willing to do my part as well," the white-robed nun replied, and Han Li's eyes immediately lit up upon hearing this.

Her voice was identical to Yu Menghan's, and on top of that, Sun Chongshan had just revealed her surname by referring to her as Celestial Maiden Yu.

In light of all of this, Han Li was now almost certain that this woman was none other than Yu Menghan.

"Alright, then let's begin," Sun Chongshan said in an elated manner as he opened his mouth to release a three-legged, dark red cauldron.

The cauldron was rather antiquated in appearance, and one half of it was etched with crude, yet extremely life-like designs of all types of living creatures, while the other half was riddled with ancient characters, all of which were glowing faintly.

Unfortunately, one of its legs had been snapped off, leaving it in an incomplete state.

All of a sudden, Han Li's gaze fell upon the ancient text on the cauldron, and a look of surprise and excitement appeared on his face.

"What is it, Master?" Weeping Soul asked, but Han Li didn't appear to have heard her at all.

Sun Chongshan opened his mouth to release a burst of golden light that vanished into the cauldron in a flash, and at the same time, he cast a rapid flurry of incantation seals into it.

A burst of dark red light instantly appeared over the cauldron, and the light began to spread outward, but at a very slow rate.

"Help me, fellow daoists! Inject your immortal spiritual power into the cauldron!" Sun Chongshan yelled in an urgent manner, and everyone else immediately released their immortal spiritual power.

A burst of tremendous devouring force erupted out of the cauldron, and in the blink of an eye, all five cultivators in the room had roughly a third of their immortal spiritual power sucked away.

Thankfully, the rate at which the cauldron devoured their immortal spiritual power slowed down immediately thereafter, and the dark red light radiating from it filled the entire room to encompass the five cultivators inside.

The sound of the thunderous commotion outside completely faded away, allowing everyone to heave a collective sigh of relief.

Sun Chongshan turned to his four companions with a warm smile, yet before he had a chance to say anything, a dark green sword suddenly pierced through his lower abdomen, following which bursts of green light rose up from it to ensnare his entire body.

Sun Chongshan's skin instantly turned green, and he fell to the ground in a lifeless manner with a loud thump.

Immediately thereafter, the yellow-robed man appeared beside the three-legged cauldron before drawing it into his grasp.

All of this had taken place in the blink of an eye, and only now did everyone else react to what had just happened.

"Lian Yan! What the hell are you doing?!" the black-robed young man roared in a furious voice, while the white-robed nun and the red-robed woman were both also looking on with enraged expressions.

A cold sneer appeared on Lian Yan's face, and he paid no heed to the three of them as he prepared to stow the cauldron away.

However, right at this moment, the dark red light that had filled the entire room suddenly swept up the five cultivators before sucking them into the cauldron before they had a chance to react.

In the blink of an eye, all of them had vanished without a trace, leaving only the cauldron hovering in the center of the room.

Right at this moment, Han Li and Weeping Soul appeared in the room amid a burst of spatial fluctuations, and the former's gaze was still fixed intently on the ancient text on the cauldron.

"Looks like this cauldron is indeed a remarkable spatial treasure. What do we do now? Do we wait for them to come back out?" Weeping Soul asked.

Han Li was silent for a moment, then opened his mouth to release a ball of azure flames to envelop the cauldron from all sides.

......

The five cultivators had been transported into a dark red space that was around ten kilometers in size.

The ground and the sky were all dark red in color, and there was a glacial aura in the air that made the environment feel very inhospitable.

At this moment, they were standing on a plaza that was surrounded by nine dark red stone plaques that were several hundred feet tall. All of them were etched with complex patterns, seemingly to form an array.

Unfortunately, three of the stone plaques were damaged, leaving the array in an incomplete state.

There were many tall buildings near the plaza that filled virtually the entire dark red space, but most of these buildings had collapsed, and there were also many rifts and craters in the ground, indicating that a fierce battle had taken place here at some point.

Right as everyone was looking around in bewilderment, Sun Chongshan's body suddenly began to swell up like a balloon, and in the blink of an eye, it had transformed into a crimson blob of flesh that was around ten feet in size.

The blob resembled a giant tumor that was soaked in blood and riddled with green spots, presenting a disgusting and horrific sight to behold.

The other four cultivators hurriedly sprang back in retreat upon seeing this, but all of a sudden, the tumor-like growth suddenly sprang to life and set off in pursuit of Lian Yan.

It was far faster than Lian Yan, and in the blink of an eye, the distance between them had been closed down to only less than two hundred feet.

An alarmed look appeared on Lian Yan's face as he hurriedly changed directions, darting away to the left while simultaneously sweeping a sleeve through the air to release the same green sword from before.

In the blink of an eye, the green sword transformed into a streak of green swordlight that was over a thousand feet in length before hurtling toward his assailant, but before the swordlight even had a chance to reach the tumor-like growth, it had already exploded, sending chunks of flesh flying through the air alongside fierce, crimson shockwaves.

An alarmed look appeared on Lian Yan's face as he hurriedly opened his mouth to release an antiquated, black shield in front of himself.

In the next instant, a resounding boom rang out as the explosive shockwaves struck the black shield, sending it and Lian Yan both flying back tens of thousands of feet.

Even though the black shield had managed to keep the shockwaves at bay, the power behind them was still enough to send Lian Yan reeling.

Before he had a chance to catch his breath, nine golden daggers suddenly appeared out of thin air, hurtling directly toward him from behind.

Engraved onto the hilt of each dagger was a strange two-headed beast, and the daggers were giving off an incredibly cold aura.

Lian Yan hurriedly dodged to the side once again while a burst of green light erupted out of his body to meet the nine golden daggers.

However, right at this moment, the two-headed beasts engraved onto the hilts of the nine daggers suddenly opened their mouths in unison, releasing nine bursts of golden soundwaves that descended upon him from all directions.

A pained look appeared on his face as he involuntarily stopped cold in his tracks, while the nine daggers quickly arranged themselves into an array.

The protective green light around Lian Yan was instantly torn to shreds, following which his body was sliced into pieces.

A ball of green light shot out his dismembered remains before fleeing into the distance, and it was none other than his nascent soul.

However, it wasn't able to get very far before it was intercepted by the black-robed young man, who caught it mid-flight as it was trying to flee.

"You're completely at my mercy now, Lian Yan! This is what you get for displaying such insolence to me! I'm going to burn this nascent soul of yours over a yin flame to torment you for centuries!" the black-robed young man chortled as he glowered at the green nascent soul with a look of twisted joy on his face.

A hint of disgust flashed through the white-robed nun's eyes at the sight of the black-robed young man's hideous expression, but she still flew to his side along with the red-robed woman.

"Lian Yan deserves to die for killing Fellow Daoist Sun, but we're not exactly safe ourselves in this place, so let's join forces to scout out the area, Fellow Daoist Tie," the white-robed nun said.

The black-robed young man hurriedly adopted a serious expression as he nodded in response and stowed away his nine golden daggers and the green nascent soul.

He swept a sleeve through the air to release a burst of golden light toward Lian Yan's storage tool and that green sword, but right at this moment, a burst of dark red light suddenly flashed over the plaza, and Lian Yan's remains abruptly vanished, along with his storage tool and green sword.

The black-robed young man faltered slightly upon seeing this, as did the two women.

All of a sudden, Sun Chongshan appeared out of thin air with a smile on his face as he said, "Lian Yan's death was indeed well-deserved, but I'm afraid you'll be following in his footsteps before too long."
