Chapter 1466: Thank You, Dad

Archer’s eyebrow arched in intrigue when seeing this, and he decided to test something out, but a daring grin soon curled his lips. Without hesitation, he summoned a blazing Mana Blast, its violet energy crackling fiercely in his palm.

’Let’s see if this can get through their protection,’ he mused.

He aimed at the barrier, unleashing a searing beam that tore through the air like a comet, lighting up the air in a blazing violet glow thanks to his mana. Moments later, the shield shattered.

The overwhelming force sent killed several enemy mages, who were instantly killed. Their strange magic was no match for his pure mana, which came directly from Thrylos itself as if the world was supplying him.

As this happened, he hovered above the shattered remnants of the Terravian castle, his eyes blazing with rage. Archer felt the air thrum with the fading echoes of their strange mana, now faltering under his attack.

The realm, once filled with the chaotic energy of the enemy, now trembled beneath the weight of his power. His cloak billowed as he channeled torrents of mana, his body radiating an aura that lit the sky up.

Below, the remaining Terravians scrambled to fortify their crumbling defenses. Their shields, woven from otherworldly mana, flickered like dying embers. His gaze swept the battlefield, locking onto their desperate forms.

’Now its time to finish off these fuckers and return to Draconia,’ he mused. ’It’s only been a couple of weeks.’

Following that, he let out a roar that shook the heavens before creating a cataclysmic Mana Surge. Jagged bolts of energy erupted from his outstretched hands, splitting the air with deafening cracks.

The beams carved through the Terravian ranks, obliterating their shields and reducing their sacred groves to ash. Some charged forward, brandishing blades infused with their alien magic, as others hurled desperate spells that fizzled against his Anti-Magic.

He descended to finish off the enemy, his movements so fast the humanoids couldn’t keep up with him. As Archer got closer, he summoned a whirlwind of Mana Blades, each one a crescent of pure destruction that sliced through armor and flesh alike.

The ground quaked as Terravian war-beasts, towering mutated monstrosities of scale, claw, and their evil magic lunged at him, only to be incinerated by a single, earth-shattering stream of dragon fire that painted the horizon.

One by one, the humanoids fell. Their cries grew silent, their strange mana dissipating like mist under a scorching sun. He pressed forward, his power a force of nature that left no corner of the realm untouched.

Once, dark valleys and spires of the Terravian stronghold crumbled into ruin and fire. The air grew heavy, the vibrant pulse of life replaced by an eerie stillness. As the last mage collapsed, their final spells fizzling into nothingness, he stood alone amidst the wreckage.

’’At least that should slow them down until I can find more pocket dimensions,’’ he muttered while sitting on top of the crumbling castle.

Archer scanned the lifeless realm, its colors drained, and all the castles were destroyed, leaving nothing alive, its energy completely extinguished. He gazed upon the barren expanse, his chest heaving, his mana still crackling faintly at his fingertips.

The silence was deafening, which he enjoyed. With a final, defiant glance at the desolate horizon, he turned and opened a portal only to have Ella’s worried voice ring in her mind. ’Arch! Sia’s giving birth! Come quick!’

As the news sank in, his heart thundered in his chest, a wild rhythm of disbelief as he realized how long he had been in the Terravian realm. ’I’ve been here for months!’ he thought in shock.

In an instant, Archer teleported to the lush, sprawling gardens of his palace back on Draconia. The air was thick with the scent of blooming flowers and the hum of frenzied activity as the place was excited.

Dozens of maids darted across the lawns, their arms laden with silken banners and trays of other stuff needed for the birth, their faces alight with purpose. Beyond the gates, a swelling crowd of citizens pressed forward, their excitement increasing.

Oathkeepers stood guard as Thalion led the charge to lockdown the palace to protect the imperial family. Cheers and laughter echoed through the air as the people of Thrylos erupted in celebration at the arrival of the first Draconian Princess.

His breath caught as he stood rooted to the spot, the weight of the moment pressing down on him. He noticed the crowd’s passion growing louder, which only amplified the nerves coursing through his veins.

Beads of sweat traced a slow path down his spine, his hands trembling slightly as he raked them through his hair. ’’I’m going to be a father,’’ he murmured under his breath, the words feeling both foreign and monumental. ’’How did time slip away so fast? I’m already twenty-two.’’

Archer’s head spun, as memories flashed through his mind, moments of joy, uncertainty, and anticipation that had woven together over the past twenty-two years, each one a fleeting spark now dwarfed by the reality unfolding in front of him.

The chaos of the palace gardens and the distant roar of the happy crowd beyond the gates only deepened the weight of the moment. He was about to become a father, a truth that felt both exhilarating and overwhelming.

Just then, a familiar figure caught his eye amidst the flurry of activity. It was his father from Earth, Harry. He was hurrying behind a woman of similar age, her silver-streaked hair catching the morning light.

The older man’s steps faltered when he spotted him standing motionless near the marble fountain. His weathered face broke into a wide, heartfelt grin, his brown eyes gleaming with pride.

’’Arch!’’ he called out, tone booming over the clamor as he closed the distance between them. ’’Congratulations, my boy!’’

’’Oh hello Dad,’’ he replied quietly.

The words carried a warmth that anchored Archer, grounding him amid his thoughts. Harry clapped a strong hand on his shoulder, his gaze softening as he took in his sweat-dampened brow and the nervous energy radiating from him.

’’You’re going to be one hell of a dad. I’ve seen how happy my daughters are and know you’ve become a great man,’’ he added, thick with conviction. ’’This little girl will be the most protected person on this strange new world, but I’m truly happy for you, my boy.’’

Following that, Harry suddenly hugged him, and his whole body stiffened. The sudden embrace caught him off guard, it was an unfamiliar warmth as only his women ever touched him.

Physical affection had never been a hallmark of their relationship, even back on Earth. It was a rare gesture that sent a jolt through him, both comforting and disorienting. As his father’s arms enveloped him, he felt the older man’s unspoken strength.

Releasing him, Harry stepped back, his eyes glistening with a mix of pride and something deeper, more raw. In a voice low and restrained, as if holding back a flood, he said. ’’I lost you once, Arch, and I thought that was it, my boy, gone forever. But fate gave you back to me, and now…’’

He paused, his throat working as he swallowed hard, a faint smile breaking through. ’’Now you’ve gone and made me a grandfather.’’

The words hung in the air, heavy with meaning, as the sounds of the celebrating crowd and bustling maids faded into the background. His chest tightened as the weight of his father’s words settled over him like a mantle.

Archer met Harry’s gaze, seeing not just the rugged man from Earth who had raised him, but a father who had endured unimaginable grief and now stood here, witnessing the dawn of a new generation.

Just then, the older man slapped a hand on his shoulder again and exclaimed. ’’I’ve seen you fight monsters right out of legend, gather a group of women who truly love you, and build a kingdom that is twenty times better than anything on Earth, all I hear is praise for what you’ve done.’’

He felt his throat tighten, his emotions a tangled knot, but he managed a small nod. His answer, barely above a whisper, trembled as he said. ’’Thank you, Dad.’’

The word felt monumental, a fragile bridge spanning years of distance and pain, carrying a weight he hadn’t fully realized until it left his lips. Harry’s eyes widened, a flicker of shock crossing his weathered face.

He took a step back, his breath catching as if Archer’s words had struck him like a physical blow. ’’You still see me as your father?’’ he asked, his voice raw, almost disbelieving.

Then, softer, as if afraid to shatter the moment, he added. ’’Why wasn’t it the same with your mother?’’

Archer’s gaze dropped to the ground, his fingers clenching into fists as memories long buried clawed their way to the surface. The hum of the palace gardens faded into a muted blur as he started to come to terms with every.
