A Farmer's Journey To Immortality
Chapter 509: Sudden Rise: Aether Cultivation Progressing Way Ahead of Spirit Cultivation & Qi CultivationAksai’s progress didn’t stop at the second Aether cultivation realm.
It should’ve been hard. It should’ve taken years if not decades.
But Aksai passed through the early stage of the Wisp Blooming realm within a few breaths.
Aksai needed to thank the demon beast’s willing cooperation at this point. The bond between him and the beast kept growing. His control was now so smooth that he could feel the beast respond to thoughts, even feelings.
More time passed, though only two hours in the outside world. Aksai had entered the mid-stage, then the late-stage of Wisp Blooming without a single block or pause. The sea inside him was no longer wild. It had settled into a quiet flow of power.
And then it happened again.
Another breakthrough into a major realm.

Aksai entered the third realm—Wisp Mastery.
But something strange began to happen as soon as he entered.
He saw himself—not as he was now, but as he had once been. A young spirit farmer, face pale and tired, hands cracked from working too long in the fields. A boy who obeyed every order from the Lakir family. A boy who had no choice.
He was pulled into those memories.
Day after day, plowing land that didn’t belong to him. Sleeping in a cold and almost broken shack that was his farm house, inherited to him from his poor father.
Enduring punishments that he attracted just by surviving. Living in fear. Working for scraps. Forgotten. Powerless.
This test was like a Spirit cultivation trial—the Dejection Demon trial. But that didn’t make sense. He wasn’t anywhere near the Core Formation realm in Spirit cultivation. This should’ve been impossible.
But he still had to face it.
He clenched his fists and forced himself to stay calm. These memories weren’t new. He had lived them already. And he had survived. He had come out of it stronger. Slowly, the pain and sadness passed.
The trial didn’t break him. Instead, it tempered his soul and strengthened his control and influence over his own Aether Wisp.
When he opened his eyes again, he was still in the soul space. The sea was calm. The Aether Shell floated gently, glowing faintly now. Aksai had fully entered the Wisp Mastery realm.
Only the early stage, but it was real.
He could feel the weight of the Aether Wisp inside him. The bond between him and the demon beast was now like breath and heartbeat—constant, invisible, and strong.
Aksai didn’t try to move forward anymore. He felt his soul shift, slow down. His subconscious began to settle, like mud drifting to the bottom of a quiet pond.
The rapid growth had ended. Now came the slow part—stabilizing everything he had gained. And so, inside the soul space that was once a stormy sea, Aksai floated quietly with his eyes closed.
Breathing. Growing. Changing.
***
Three days passed quietly in the Enchanted Everwood Farm.
Outside the Enchanted Everwood Farm, the sun rose and fell in Dadangar Subcontinent. The trees of Duya Forest swayed in the wind.
Inside the Everwood Farm, in the isolated space, the glowing Spirit herbs continued to hum softly in the fields.
Lini came inside the Everwood Farmhouse and went out, careful not to disturb the sleeping figure that floated gently in the air.
Aksai’s body had been hovering a few feet above the ground all this time, kept steady by Yelia’s control. His breathing was calm, almost too calm.
It was hard to tell if he was even alive at a glance. Faint Aether runes flickered across his skin now and then, like fireflies blinking in and out of sight.
Then, as the third day neared its end, a faint tremble passed through his floating form.
Yelia, who had not moved far from him for even a moment, noticed it right away. She looked up from where she sat, her gaze sharp and watchful.
Aksai’s eyelids twitched. Then slowly, he opened his eyes.
A deep, dark green glow filled them for a few seconds—brighter than before, almost wild and fierce like an ancient forest coming to life. Then, just as suddenly, the glow faded. His eyes settled back into a normal shade of black, calm and focused.
A shimmer passed over his skin. The faint tattoo of the runic beast that had been wrapped around his chest and back disappeared, fading like mist in the morning light. It was as if it had never been there.
His body no longer gave off the strange, sharp pressure of an Aether trial in progress. Instead, he simply looked… normal. A Spirit practitioner with Foundation Building Realm prowess at rest.
But Yelia knew better.
She stood and raised her hand. Aksai’s floating body slowly lowered to the ground until his bare feet touched the earth. His knees buckled slightly, but she gently helped him stand tall, supporting him with a soft grip on his arm.
She let go once he was steady and stepped back with a graceful bow.
“My liege,” she said, her voice light but full of pride, “congratulations on achieving a breakthrough into the third Aether cultivation realm. This is perhaps your fastest growth yet—even when compared to your Spirit and Qi paths.”
Aksai blinked at her, still gathering himself.
He looked around, taking in the familiar surroundings of the enchanted farm.
The wild Brain Bonsai Trees, glowing Spirit mushrooms on the grounds, the Flesh Pumpkin vines with loads of ripe Flesh Pumpkins ready for the harvest, the Demon Tree standing erect in the distance, the rustling leaves of Spirit trees, the faint scent of Spirit moss and Spirit herbs in the air.
All of it seemed sharper now. Quieter. Like he was seeing it through a new lens.
Then he looked at Yelia again. His expression shifted slightly—his eyebrows raised, and there was a trace of disbelief in his eyes. However, the most recent spectral notification in front of him was enough to make him free of any lingering doubts.
