Villain Ch 1675. Avoid Horny Disasters
Bella skipped a step. “Wait, why Ashen Maw?”
Allen stood, his cape falling back into place as he walked toward the portal crystal.
“Because it’s linear. It’s structured. It has doors. Which means I know exactly where not to stand when Jane starts exploding the map.”
Jane grinned like a proud arsonist.
“And,” Allen added, glancing sideways at them with a dangerous smirk, “less nature means less sudden heat strokes.”
Larissa raised her hand. “So we’re actually trying to avoid horny disasters now?”
“Yes,” Allen said.
Everyone else. “Booo~”
“Define avoid,” Vivian said.
Allen turned his back, letting the obsidian throne fade into the gloom behind him as he made his way to the portal room. The floor hummed beneath his boots, a low growl of forgotten energy pulsing with each step.
[Destination: Ashen Maw Fortress – Confirmed]
The portal flared—ripping space open with a shriek of cold light and static. One by one, his team stepped through. Fox tails flicked, crimson cloaks rippled, feathers and shadows and mist converging into one glorious, overpowered circus of doom.
Allen smirked faintly as he stepped in last.
The portal snapped shut behind him.
And instantly, all hell broke loose.
A jagged cathedral spire loomed above them—half-crushed, veiled in choking fog, its bells frozen mid-chime. Stone archways stretched into the gloom like skeletal hands, and the corrupted chapel smelled like scorched scripture and ancient grease. They hadn’t even taken two full steps and the entire entrance lit up with glowing sigils.

[Level 226 Elite Unit: Sanctum Enforcer (x3)]
[Level 240 Construct: Bellward Juggernaut (x1)]
“On us!” Allen barked.
From the cathedral walls, three knight-like figures surged forward—towering brutes clad in bladed sanctum armor, their eyes hollow with blinding gold. Their weapons shimmered with holy feedback loops, pulsing white-hot with anti-demonic sigils.
Behind them, a mechanical horror emerged—a walking shrine, twisted into something monstrous. It looked like a cathedral’s belltower had sprouted six legs, a cathedral-mech hybrid dragging broken prayer rugs behind it like entrails. Its tolling bell emitted pure magic shockwaves.
Bella was the first to leap into action, her tails snapping. “Earthquake Stomp!”
The ground split, knocking the Sanctum Enforcers into a brief stagger—but not down. Their balance routines were tight.
“Shadow Bind,” Alice hissed. Black chains rose from the floor and latched around one’s legs, jerking it in place.
“Depths’ Grasp,” Zoe whispered.
A wet, monstrous hand made of seawater erupted under the Juggernaut, gripping its legs. The bell beast roared, gears shrieking.
Allen’s fingers flexed.
’Demonic Lances.’
Spikes of dark energy rained from above, impaling two enforcers, staggering a third.
The Juggernaut countered—firing a shockwave that launched Bella backward. She skidded into a broken confessional booth, cursing.
“Corpse Explosion,” Jane said with the calm of a librarian asking for quiet. A skeleton from the floor detonated beneath the Juggernaut’s chest. Shrapnel tore upward.
“I’m fine!” Bella shouted, already charging back. “Wind Blade Fury!”
Steel and wind clashed midair.
Larissa’s swarm of bats flew from the shadows, swirling into the enemy formation. “Blood Siphon!”
The sanctum knight shrieked, its glowing eyes dimming.
“Now!” Allen raised his hand. “Abyss Shatter!”
The ground beneath the Juggernaut cracked. Pure abyssal power exploded outward, shaking the ruined vestibule, and reducing all three enforcers to crumbling, twitching metal husks.

Silence followed.
And then Zoe clapped once. “That was cute.”
Vivian cracked her whip lazily. “Barely even foreplay.”
Allen exhaled slowly, his demonic aura dimming as the pressure settled. “They ambushed us the moment we stepped in.”
“You’d think the church would at least offer a welcome hymn,” Jane muttered, brushing ashes from her robe.
The group adjusted their positions, cautiously moving forward into the hallway. It was narrow. Horribly narrow. Just enough for two people side-by-side if they didn’t mind touching shoulders—and everyone knew touching Allen’s shoulders was a high-risk, high-reward endeavor.
The cathedral walls were half-eaten by rust. Cracked stained glass hovered suspended in magical stasis, glowing faintly with suppressed scripture. The entire place smelled like burnt incense, molten copper, and wet stone.
They walked cautiously, but not quietly.
“Alright,” Allen said. “Loadout check. Adjust for the holy debuff zones.”
Vivian sighed. “I already feel my charm stat getting nerfed.”
“You’ll live,” Jane replied.
“Yes. But now it feels like I’m seducing them through a math exam.”
Alice poked a ruined paladin’s helmet with her broom. “At least they die properly. Not like those Verdant Basin slimes that turned into plants and tried to mind-fondle me.”
“Still,” Shea added, tapping a harp string. “We need to be careful. If the Radiant Oathbreaker’s AoEs are as disgusting as rumored…”
“They are,” Allen said flatly.
Shea tilted her head. “You’ve fought him?”
“No. But I’ve read the patch notes. And watched three wipe compilations.”
“Classic,” Bella whispered, smirking. “Always doing homework while seducing danger.”
They rounded a bend—and Allen raised his hand, halting the group.
Ahead was the Sanctified Gallery—an old choir room overtaken by warped, glowing vines of gold. Floating constructs hovered near the ceiling, scanning slowly with glowing blue halos. Beneath them stood four Paladrones—half-machine, half-holy zealots. Their arms were stained glass swords. Their legs looked like organ pipes.
“New mobs,” Allen muttered.
[Paladrone – Level 234]
[Affinity: Light / Mech / Zeal]
[Passive Buff: Converts nearby dark-type attacks into Holy Splashback (5m AoE counter)]
“I hate them already,” Larissa said.
Allen grinned. “Let’s test our anti-reflect builds.”
Vivian stepped forward, flicking her whip. “By the way, I’ve been meaning to ask…” she said casually, “if I get zapped by a holy backlash while I’m on top of someone, do they also take the AoE?”
Allen did not answer. He was already moving.
He triggered Void Mirage, sprinting forward while leaving a glowing silhouette behind. The moment one Paladrone spotted him and launched a beam of light—his illusion intercepted.
